I needed a large pack to hold a variety of equipment. This one has plenty of room. I can easily fit: Rebel T5i, midsized camcorder (Sony FDR-AX100), small digital camera, wireless microphones, GoPro + extra housings, harnesses, mounts, wad of cables, chargers, batteries, manuals. For me, the main compartment does not need to be so deep.

After using many high-end camera bags/packs, I found that the Lowepro - Pro Trekker 450 AW Backpack was the one for me. This is just one tough pack! Its compact enough to fit in the overhead when flying so you don't have to check it. Also, it will completely adjust to fit any body type comfortably. It is roomy enough to fit my Cannon 5DmarkIII, 100-400mm/4.5-5.6L II , 600mm f/4L II, 16-35mm/2.8L II. Plus the rest of my camera gear. I have used this pack everywhere from the Great Smoky Mountains to remote island beaches in the Caribbean Sea. It continues to completely handle the abuse I put it threw. Hands down the best investment I have made for my camera gear. I would highly recommend this camera pack.
