I cannot believe that their is only one review for these headsets. I just had to put my input on these to put the word out. These headsets are utterly AMAZING!!! I am the owner of the Steelseries Wireless H Headsets and I loved those Headsets until I purchased the LS40’s. Headsets are much louder than my Steelseries and crispy clear. I currently use these headsets on my Xbox One and It is so simple to adjust the Game/Chat sound and Mute Game/Chat sound. Muting Game sound is just a lil plus. Sleek design as well, you won’t look funny using these headsets for outside use, like say for cell phone or travelling abroad via airplane. I basically got these for Gaming at night when the family is sleeping. Sound of these headsets put you right inside the game. I’ve heard sounds that I have never heard before, didn’t even know these games had these extra sounds to make the environment so real. Even using my steelseries, they could not match the sound of my new LS40’s. These guys did a good job developing these headsets. They truely listen to what gamers really want & need. You guys won’t regret purchasing these. Instructions that come in the box walks you through setup with PC, Xbox One, & PS4. A little pricey but I would highly recommend. After all, There are some headsets out there that cost 100.00 more and they don’t sound better than these LS40 headsets. For 199.99, you get what you pay for…Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence with which headset to buy

The sound that these produce is so clear. 7.1 surround is no joke. You hear EVERYTHING! The Bluetooth signal is very strong as I have taken these beyond the stated limits and they stayed connected. The instructions make it very easy to connect to my ps4. Comfort wise, they have very soft ear cushions and can be left on for a long game session. The only complaint, if I had to give one, is if you have large ears, they will not completely surround your ears and will sit on some part of them. They are well built and do not seem fragile at all. The audio adjustments on each ear cup is a great feature. For those of you that will use these for music also, they give the same clarity as they do when gaming. You bass heads will not like these. The sound quality was put ahead of teeth chattering bass. In my opinion, for the money, your getting one of the best gaming headsets out today, and headphones that will give you awesome musical sound, all in one great looking package. One other note, these will not connect to the Bluetooth on your phone.

Great headset for the price with one big flaw

The LS40s are a great pair of headsets that are nearly perfect, but the one flaw with them is pretty huge. The look, sound, and features of the headset are amazing and do a lot to justify purchasing headphones for $200, but after having the headset for only a couple of months I began to run into problems. My microphone was making a weird echo noise when multiple people would talk in voice chat at one time, this even occurred when my mic was muted. It would get to the point where the noise was so annoying that people in chat would complain about it even though I couldn't hear anything or wasn't making any noises. The weird thing was that this would never happen when it was just one or two people talking at once. I went online and tried troubleshooting guides from Xbox, Lucid sound, and YouTube, but nothing worked to fix the issue. I even contacted Lucid sound customer service and they just directed me to their trouble shooting guides that I had already told them didn't work. Personally, the entire issue with these headphones doesn't bother me too much because it's very rare that I talk to people online that this would be a problem for me, but I do know that I'm probably in the minority and many of other potential buyer are getting this to chat with friends. It's upsetting to know that a $200 purchase doesn't fully work, cannot be returned due to the malfunction occurring after the return period, and Lucid Sound customer service being of no help.

I had high hopes for this newer model. It has the same problem of the first model LS30 of random disconnecting and then connecting from both a PS4 and a PS4 Pro. You can't directly plug in the USB dongle into either console, so you have to use a USB hub. LucidSound claims on their website that a POWERED usb hub will fix the problem, but that's not the case. It didn't solve a thing. The problem seems to be in the power switch. Tilting of the head or just ever so lightly touching the power button will cause the disconnection. This is quite the shame. Sound is outstanding and other than the power switch, it's a very well made set of headphone. They are very comfortable I will be returning this set.

I have tried the whole kitchen sink when it comes to Xbox one headsets, Astros, Turtle Beach, Razor, Logitech ect, These By FAR are better then any of those top brand headsets. Turtle beach had great mice, But the sound wasn't top notch, Astros had Great Sound But a awfull mic. These ls40 are the best sounding and Clearest Mic you'll Ever hear.

Where have these been all my life...

Not since the Pulse Elites have I been more satisfied with a headset. 7.1 dolby x surround sound and so so comfortable. The LS40 lasts about 15 hours on a single charge. Unlike other more expensive headsets where there are so many buttons and you have to take off the headset to make sure you know where everything is, the controls are very simple and honestly revolutionary. The left ear cup controls the volume. You rotate it to turn up the sound or to turn down. To mute the sound you simply push the middle of the left ear cup. The right ear cup controls the chat. You rotate to turn up or down the chat and press the middle of the right ear cup to mute the chat. There is a mic built in and it also comes with an optional boom mic that is bendable. When you mute the chat with the boom mic inserted, the end of the mic turns blue to let you know. The LS40's do come with a male to male optical cable that plugs into the usb dongle. If you have more than one system, I would recommend you buying an extra that way you don't have to move the cable back and forth. These do work with the PS3,PS4, XB1, PC and Mobile. Honesty for the money and for the best sound, you cannot go wrong. I can say that being able to hear the footsteps to come around you or explosions the way they were meant to be felt, do yourself a favor and get these.
