Only 2 out of 3 of the units worked. Luma customer service took a month to send a replacement.

Couldn't get the third one to pair, difficult to setup, not as easy as it should be. I returned.

Not even sure that it has expanded our wi fi; sounds like a great product; but not sure it works

One of the Luma units did not work at all despite the efforts of a Best Buy technician.

Ever since I opened the package and set up the Luma routers, I continue to be completely satisfied. It started with the ease of set up and extends to the much improved speed and coverage of my Wi-Fi. Based on my previous speed and coverage, I knew that I needed something to change, but wasn’t sure where to start. After discussing with some friends, I felt comfortable moving forward with the purchase of the 3 pack after searching for something that was easy to set up and would give multiple points of coverage in our multi-level home. Not being a tech guy, the set up could not have been easier. I simply downloaded the app which gave me clear instructions on how to set up and where to place the Luma routers. Lastly, I’m so appreciative of the additional security. It’s great to be able to check on the sites that our kids have visited and make changes to any settings instantaneously.

Hook up was straight forward and the support team guided me through the one issue I had due to my internet provider system. The 3-pack gives me extended Wi-Fi coverage in both my upstairs and downstairs home offices and family room, as well as extended the range out to the patio. I have multiple Wi-Fi devices running simultaneously and now have noticeable improvement in access speed. The filters provide additional internet security and the parental control is a great add for anyone with kids.

We always struggled with slow wifi and in some parts of our house we couldn't even get online. I was really impressed how easy it was for me to install the routers throughout my house. I'm not that tech-savvy and everything from the packaging to the app made installation and placement very easy, even for someone like me. I had to call customer service quickly for one thing, and I was connected with a real person without having to go through any prompts at all. it turned out to be user error. After install, my husband immediately noticed the speed increase. We spent some time exploring other features and were most excited that we can control the content for our kids... and I personally loved the fact that I could pause the internet for everyone. Knowing we have added security is also pretty cool. Our family is excited to add this piece of technology to our home and can't wait to see what they come up with next.

We recently bought the Luma 3 pack. We live out in the country where internet service is not always strong. After talking with my neighbor who purchased the Luma, he was sharing that his wi-fi has been much faster so we decided to purchase it as well. He advised that we buy one Luma for each level of the house to maximize the strength and service the Luma has to offer. Within minutes of setting up the system (which was simple to do after downloading the app that walks you through the set-up process) I couldn't believe how much faster our i-phones, i-pads, and computer worked. In the past we have had slower processing speed especially with multiple devices being used in the house at one time. We cannot be happier with the solid signal we are now consistently getting. We have also started to turn off devices, that the kids use, during dinner time and bedtime -- loving that feature ;) We're excited to tell our friends and family how much Luma has improved our wi-fi/internet strength and speed.

I was impressed first with how easy it was to setup. The app walked me through this and did the setup for me, I just had to follow the instructions. I have three levels, so I placed one in each level and the coverage is full-bars in every area of the home. The features for setting up profiles and then assigning devices is pretty neat if you have kids. It allows different access levels for all profiles. I setup the teenager to PG-13 and the younger two on PG mode. The wife and I have devices on Unrestricted mode so there is no filter. Also allows you to pause the internet to bring the family to full attention!

I received my Luma 2 weeks ago and had a great out of box experience. The system was easy to install and came right up as I followed the instructions in the app. Signal strength is vastly improved at the ends of my home compared with my previous centrally located router. I found no degradation of my network speed. My only complaint is that I can't administer WiFi access to individual users/devices as it's currently an all or none proposition. I'd be very surprised if this isn't something on Luma's "to do" list and I expect to see it in future releases. The other really cool feature is that the app control is hosted in the cloud so I can police internet access for kids who may not always shut down the computer while their parents are out of the house. Let me start by saying this is literally the first product review I've ever written....I typically don't bother to spend the time, but my experience with this product compelled me to do so. First, they spent way too much time and $ on packaging. The package feels like it cost more than the device itself.....it's very much a consumer product and feels cheap. However, it's a router....as long as it works, that doesn't matter and the product does what it says and functions as advertised. There are lots of people out there saying that the controls don't work for the "pause internet" or parental controls aren't working properly. I'm not sure what they're experiencing, but both the "pause" feature and the content filtering works just fine for me. Sure other routers out there offer this feature, but nothing as quick and simple as this device's interface via the mobile app. So as far as that goes, I'm pleased. My major gripe was with the setup. This should have literally been a 10 minute setup, even with the 3 access points. They do make it simple....but there is one MAJOR flaw. When you set up a SSID it does not allow for special characters in the password. WHAT?! So instead of just recreating the same SSID and password as my old router, I had to create a new password...and subsequently had to reconnect 2 laptops, 2 Apple TVs, 3 iPads, 2 iPhones, 1 Pod Touch, 2 Smart Thermostats and 6 Nest Protect devices. So the whole process took me hours instead of minutes because this devices doesn't support special characters in the password. Now I'm an IT professional, so perhaps I'm picky about security and this isn't important to the average consumer....but I just found this absolutely ridiculous. Overall, The performance and coverage seems OK thus far too....covers my 3 story home just fine after 24 hours of testing. The range isn't anywhere near what you'd find in say an ASUS or Netgear option....but that's the point of these 3 access points. And I don't need to access my WiFi from halfway down the block....I just needed something simple that offered some parental controls and covered the entire home. Overall, I'd say this is a good start from a 1st generation product....it needs improvement, but will be a great option for most consumers.

We purchased the Luma Wireless Dual Band Wi Fi Router (3 Pack) and couldn't be happier with our selection. We primarily were looking for improved wi fi coverage for our 3 level home.In particular i needed good coverage for my basement workshop. I got it!! Our signal strength left a lot to be desired. Other products I have tried just haven't done the job. I some times need back yard coverage and Luma works great. We also run a lot of devices in the house and there is no drop off in coverage or speed. We love the parent controls too for when our teenage Grandkids come to visit. Very satisfied with this product. Also feel much more comfortable with Luma's security features. These days you can't have too much security protection.

We recently bought and installed the Luma three pack. We did this because our current network had spotty reach around the house and speeds were slow. I am not a "techy"....the product was simple to install. Took a total of 20 minutes to set up all three. Since installing, the connection around the house is so much better.....we could not get a strong signal prior on the front porch or our back patio...we now have a strong signal at both and speeds are so much better and consistent. We are so happy that we bought the product!

Just got mine. Took 10 minutes to install and I now have full strength wi-fi signal throughout home. I can't believe how easy the setup was and how great it works!!! Great security settings especially for unwanted websites for the children. Thank you!!!! A+A+A+A+A+A+

Just set up the the Luma Home WiFi 3 Pack System and have to say I'm really impressed. Firstly, the product packaging and finishing is very impressive and catchy (very 'Apple' sque I should say). Secondly, the app makes it extremely easy and straightforward to set up the Luma system with step-by-step instructions & easy to follow guidelines thru the app. It lets you easily set up the network name, password, and the three Luma boxes, based on the recommendations on where to place these for good coverage. I was done is about 15-20 minutes and it works great. Lastly, it really helps out with wifi coverage all across your home. It helped me get coverage in dead spots and boost the speed all across my home. I used to get about 12- 16 Mbps downstairs and now with Luma, my speeds downstairs are closer to 50-60 Mbps. Couldn't be happier so far and would definitely recommend it to others to try it out.

First and foremost, I have had multiple dead zones in my house for years and never really researched solutions, until now. After conducing much research on line and talking to people, a friend mentioned they had Luma and it fixed their dead spot problem and offered a lot more control than anything on the market. It certainly delivered for me as well. My speeds are fantastic through the entire house with little lost even given the wifi nature of the product. Plus, given the multiple ages of the kids, I have parental controls that work as I have tried multiple parental control software options that you have to load on every device, very, very difficult to manage. Luma provides parental controls with incredible simplicity and I believe is unique in the industry.

Initially I was not sure if I wanted to spend so much to fix wifi coverage issues in my house. I had a couple of areas in my house where devices kept getting disconnected from my Netgear router. So I thought I'd give Luma a try and I must say I am extremely satisfied. This is money very well spent. The setup steps were simple and the app (I have an Android phone) was easy to use. The Lumas looked very cute as well. :) The coverage is absolutely great now. I am also getting very good speeds and am able to stream high-definition videos without any problem. I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you. Excited to try out all the features in the phone app. I am definitely recommending this to my friends and family.

After trying multiple routers here is the one that works for all -mac, android, windows and most important - at any part of the home. Great signals and no drops. The signal strength is consistent in almost all parts of my home which had multiple dead zones when working with other routers. Parental controls, priority device settings are a huge plus. Not to mention the compact size of these routers and it takes very little real estate in living area and study room. The set-up took less than 10minutes and can't ask for more- very friendly app interface for all other tweaks. No more mess up with WPA, WPA-2, passcode phrase et al. Great product and on my #1 for this holiday season gift catalog for my friends

We've tried several products to extend our wireless without success. There were issues with it reaching certain rooms, no signal for the printer, etc. Someone recommended Luma to solve our problems -- so happy they did! It shipped quickly and I was optimistic when I opened the box. The packaging was sleek and everything is labeled step by step from the get go. I downloaded the app and it walks you through the set up process clearly -- you don't need to be a techie by any means. It took less than 15 minutes to have our whole home set up with the 3 pack. It's really user friendly and I love how we have the ability to set limits and controls. Great product!!

The packaging is nice, and the units themselves are small (though they can get a bit hot when powered on). The step-by-step instructions within the app during set-up could use some more refinement. However, if you run into any issues, which I did, the customer service/tech support squad are extremely helpful and friendly (after a failed set up, the app offers you a button to call support directly, minimal hold time, knowledgeable and efficient people on the phone). I have the 3 Luma system for an ~1700 square foot single floor home with old plaster walls (bad for wifi coverage). The far corners of the house previously had seriously poor coverage, but following installation of the Luma home system I have much better coverage throughout the home. The only downside one of the routers has to be tethered to your exisiting router/modem by hardline -- this is a little bit of a bummer as all three units can't act as a wireless bridge on your existing wireless router, one has to hardwire in. Regardless, I have better coverage in my home. The app has a lot of functionality that I imagine is helpful in a family scenario (parental controls/shutting wifi off for or limiting use by specific devices) that I just haven't found reason to use yet, but can see the utility. Overall, I'd recommend to someone with poor wireless coverage in their home, but for the pricetag, they'd have to have a serious need for the full functionality of the product. Also, a previous user noted that this does not function with FiOS modems/routers. This is untrue as I currently have mine set up on a FIOS router.
