Great movie, super hilarious and the animation is beautiful

A very stunning CG-animted film, but a bit too kid-friendly; it needed some adult themes and humor to give it that usual Lupin charm. Was a little off put that the film's third act was a little too derivative of Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade's finale but I was quite pleased the original English voice actors were cast to return for this. The SteelBook itself is quite gorgeous, almost fashioned after the mechanical book within the story, and has lovely spot gloss throughout. Worth it for the animation quality and the packaging as well.

Lupin the third is a classic anime character. His adventures are riveting. And the artwork is phenomenal! Whether you are an avid, anime collector, we’re just looking for a great night entertainment we got you covered!

A Great film overall, like the period aspect of it.

As a longtime fan of the Lupin films and TV series I was eager to see the latest installment. To some the animation style may break convention and I only hope that this is not too much of a deterrence to appreciating its finer points. All the beloved characters are there and the voice actors do an amazing job bringing life to the familiar faces. This is a welcome addition to an incredible decade-spanning series that long time fans can appreciate. Likewise, it's an excellent opportunity to encourage new fans to join in the adventures.

I'd heard the name Lupin III but was not familiar with the franchise until I saw a trailer for this movie. As an animated film fan, I fell in love with the visuals, and as a SteelBook collector, I had to get it. I was not disappointed. I became an instant Lupin III fan and just purchased the Castle of Cagliostro as well as the Lupin III-Part IV The Italian Adventure series to complement this SteelBook. The CGI in this movie is awesome as is the traditional japanese animation in the others. Color me a fan!

I am a fan of traditional, hand-drawn animation techniques. This movie, of course, utilizes 3D, cg models. The detail of the character models, the settings, and lighting is all really impressive, though sometimes the character movement is somewhat stiff. I will say though that I wasn't especially bothered by this. I'm not really sure if I want cg to become the Lupin the 3rd trend going forward, but I really enjoyed this movie.

What a fun movie! Aware of the character before but never read the books. Took a chance and wasn't disappointed. Heads up parents: Heavy use of weapons, some sexual innuendo throughout, and has some pretty dark moments. If audio dubbing bothers you a lot, maybe skip it because it was not designed with English as a first language. Overall, we've watched it or had it on in the background over 10 times and I'm happy with it, especially going in mostly blind.

Unexpected little Gem. This was a Blind Buy for me. But, Boy, is it Worth the Money. The beginning looks Almost Lifelike. PQ - Unbelievable Sharp & Clear. This looks better than some Disney cartoons. AQ - Top Notch, True System Workout. The car crash sounds like a Real Crash outside my door. Just think how this could sound in Atmos. Would be MINDBOGGLING!!!!

A Lupin adventure better than many. Characterizations are familiar but slightly deeper. The English language voice cast has been doing these characters for in some cases decades. Consistent action with plenty of explosions mark a multi-continent search for a diary key to finding a power source left by aliens. The CGI IS excellenT: better than much traditional animation. I think facial expressions are particularly well done. I also think the re-appearance at the end of this film of the gallant Lupin originally created by Miyazaki is a nice touch.

I love the Steelbook. I suppose I have to admit to myself that I am just not a Lupin fan. I've seen the 2D animated film from Studio Ghibli and this one. Both start out great and seem to be a lot of fun. I just lose interest. It's no fault of the creative team. The film looks great and it is a well made film. So, if you are a fan, check it out and get the Steelbook, which is way nicer than the standard release.

At first I was apprehensive about this movie because the 3D characters. But It grew on me, and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It was a great and fantastic story. I enjoyed the return of the old English dub cast, (with a few new voice actors).

Lupin III The First Steelbook. Excellent addition to long running Lupin saga. Includes DVD and Bluray editions. Steel case is stylish. Great story. "Lupin versus evil army."

One of the best animated movies of 2020. Was glad to be able to find this instore and at a much better price than other retailers.

Now this is how you CG an Anime! I only which that this kind of love and care went into earwig and the witch. Also shame this did not have a wider release state side in theaters.

I am a big fan of lupin the third, so as soon as I was this I just had to buy it immediately. The animation is stunning with an interesting plot. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

This is one of the most well-animated movies I’ve ever seen and definitely the most visually pleasing animated film of the decade. The steelbook cover is also beautiful and a must have.

If you're a fan of Lupin III, this movie won't disappoint you. In transitioning to cgi, they took great care to remain true to the spirit of the original.
