A good movie of slow burn revenge. If Carrie had no powers and grew up, THIS is what she may have become.

You go into the movie knowing the lady is crazy but she still managed to creep me out. The thought crossed my mind to show my children just to detour them from ever asking a stranger to buy them alcohol. There could have been a few more scares and really it is just suspense knowing she is crazy until the end but it is worth watching. The scariest part may have been the giant penis which flashed on the screen and shocked my wife and I, I guess she is aloud to have some eye candy once in a while in the movies too!

I wanted to watch this movie from when it released into the theaters. This goes to show you that in life you have to really watch how you treat people while growing up. This movie showcases the revengeful high school classmate who was being picked on from in her high school days. It’s all psychological smart and clever. I really liked this movie and hoping they’ll make MA sequel beginning with the Daugher.

This movie was good but very different. This much older woman trying to get the acceptance and attention of high school kids. Going as far as buying them alcohol and letting them use her house to hangout, party and drink/smoke. Then there’s a huge twist on the movie. I won’t spoil it for you. Watch the movie and to find out why she did this.

Love Octavia Spencer. I support her in all her project involvements. She was a delight in this film. Allison Janney was a bonus! The rest of the cast was pretty good too. The soundtrack is great and over all satisfied the performances and films.

Tate Taylor also directed Octavia Spencer in “the help” if it wasn’t for the fact that he also casted Oscar winning actress in this movie it wouldn’t work for me...but it was entertaining. She gave a wonderful performance.

This is a wild movie. It was pretty enjoyable, though. Octavia Spencer does a great job in all of her roles, but she gets to just have fun here, and the audience can tell, which makes the movie that much more fun. 8/10.

'Ma' is just okay. For me, the Ma character is not very realistic--she comes off as a middle-aged woman who desperately wants to fit in with people who are more than half her age. Because of this, she either comes off as pathetic or that goofy adult who never left high school and wants to relive their glory days. Her backstory is explained in snippets throughout the film, but I still couldn't feel any sympathy for her. Also, the movie wasn't particularly scary--it's more of a stalker-type film. Overall, I think my expectations were too high, so I was greatly let down.

Octavia Spencer delivers a terrific performance in this film that shows the dangers of both trusting s stranger and bullying. The score is one that echoes that of 80's suspense/horror films. You'll be invested in the characters and once you reach the ending you'll be wowed. Another great film from Blumhouse studios

Good movie which had me trying to figure out the reason behind everything. Once the pieces fell into place it became more interesting. Grab some popcorn and enjoy Ma.

Ma is a good thriller-horror movie. It has a major twist that keeps you on edge as it quickly escalates.I do consider this movie a combined old meets new at thrillers.Where one can relate when one was a teen looking for good times.

Ma will have you scared to go to basement parties! With friends like her, you won't be around for too long! Octavia Spencer is creepy and sad as a grown woman stalking the high school for friends, who won't take no for an answer!

Little gore but more of just weird stalkerish vibe. It is cool when the chick jogging gets hit by a truck.
