octavia spencer in a role that is far from her other roles

Didn’t really like it because I don’t like scary movies.

Ok film. Great, demented performance from Spencer.

It's a horror movie or maybe you can call it a thriller. But it is also a "dependency" movie. Or "loneliness" movie. At least that's how I felt after watching this.

Overall it was entertaining, and the ending was much different than what I expected. I've read mixed reviews which both were good & bad, so I had to see it for myself. It was good, not great... But good!

I was actually surprised but how much I enjoyed this film! Definitely creepy, but the acting comes off a little "campy" at times. It's still a good popcorn flick that most horror fans will probably get enjoyment from!

I hadn't planned to see Ma initially but ended up checking it out anyway. For the most part its a decent thriller, I couldn't say it was the best thriller I've ever seen but it gets the job done.

"Don't go riding with sweet looking, older women" is all that I want to state. The movie is really about bullying and the long term damage, it can have on a person's headspace. The movie had that almost "classic direction" that would've made it a true scary thriller but it took a few odd changes at the end, that lowered the quality of the film. The build up to scary and suspense is all there and you can feel the angst. If you can get this on the cheap, get it, otherwise...netfx and chill

My wife loves Octavia Spencer, so I have to watch all her films rather they are good or not. Her performance is great, but the movie was just not that great overall. Skip this one.

Okay movie, but I'm happy to own it and it's a nice addition to the collection. Octavia Spencer is great, and it's a solid blu-ray. Cool alternate ending!

The DVD came scratch-free and works like it's supposed to. Four-stars is just for the movie. Not a bad movie. I'd rate it like a 7.5/10.

Great movie that is twisted at the same time. It also has a thriller vibe as well. Probably shouldn’t watch with kids but if you’re up to try something new then go for it with this movie. FYI it can get a little weird but I thought it was a good movie

I must admit, this one was a bit different from what I expected based on the trailers. Quite a character study, to be sure.

This was a different role for her to play and she did her thing as always. It was an interesting movie with a twist you don't want to miss.
