Two brothers Chris and Wayne (played by real-life brothers, Jesse and the late Alan Vint) are in rural Louisiana and trying to enjoy the time of their life before joining the service. Unfortunately, two drifters kill a sheriff's wife (Joan Blackman) and are hunted down by the sheriff (Max Baer Jr. - who played "Jethro" in the Beverly Hillbillies.) Baer also co-wrote and produced this 1974 movie that was a hit in small-town drive-in theatres. Former early rocker Leif Garrett plays the young son who finds his dead mom's battered body. Full of suspense and a shocking climax, it was advertised as a true story, but actually wasn't. I highly recommend it.
