after having several pairs of gaming headsets, i came back to this one for the overall value for the price.

I was excited to receive these in the mail, but right when I got it out of the box, they broke. :( Check out the picture.

I purchased this headset after I had lost my original one mostly because I know the brand and that it was cheap. After reading the other reviews I was slightly worried but upon receiving them I was very thrilled. They were easy to set up and worked right out the box. Sometimes there is a high pitched sound comes from the head set put a simple twist of the cord and it's all gone. Overall this is a great product for a cheap headset.

I have had several different headsets but this one is very comfortable and if the mike breaks you can replace the boom.

These are only stereo headphones yet since most games have a surround sound effect to their audio it sounds like surround sound without spending all the extra money on surround sound headphones. In multi-player gaming you can hear what direction someone is coming from. The plastic holding the earphone snapped on my brothers after a long time of use, but he got one of these newer models and it seems to be more sturdy with the added plus of the leather feel ear cups. Also on the old model it had problem with using the mic on the new XBox 360 controllers. This one does not. Highly recommended!

I bought these today just to begin my long line of over-the-ear headsets. And It does cancel some sound but not completely so you can hear other people if you are needed and/or hear the phone ring. I absolutely love this headset but be very gentle because many reviews said it breaks in the first couple of days and I'm still somewhat worried so always put them up in a safe place when finished. Otherwise Great Buy

I see so much hate for these things but I've been using and abusing this headset for over 2 years. Nothing has broken, they're very comfortable for those marathons of gaming we're all capable of doing, and I enjoy being able to reduce or increase the volume of the game and chat independently. I even take them to work to listen to music. The chord is more than long enough to not worry about pulling out of the xbox also. They sound great on a wireless controller but they do buzz nonstop when you have it hooked up on a charge kit.

The headphones are great, however, the quality of the cables that they include sort of suck. The main cable for the headphone shorts out even though no damage was done to it. When you rotate the jack when it's plugged in, there is static that comes in the headphones. On brand new headphones, it shouldn't do that. I don't know if it's like this with other tritons, but I have different pair of tritons that do the same thing. I sometimes I have to unplug the cable from the xbox controller and plug it back in because no one can hear me and this happens when I'm in the middle of talking to someone. I even make sure that everything is plugged in properly and it still does this. It's sort of a hassle because I never had to do that with my turtle beaches. From my experience with tritons and turtle beaches, I still think turtle beaches are better when it comes to performance, although, I like the comfortable fit that the tritons give me.

This headset is fantastic. The amplified stereo sound is amazing, the fit is very comfortable and the microphone works great. It's so much easier to hear footsteps in FPS's with this headset. It's not surround sound but stereo sound vs. surround sound in a headset is not very different when the speakers are right on your ears. This headset is pretty sturdy but I could see someone breaking it if they didn't put it somewhere secure when they were doing playing. If you were glasses when you play they may get tight on your head a little bit more than you would like but it's a preference thing.

Loved the around-the-ear comfortablility. Huge problem though is that I noticed the sound was reversed in relation to what was happening on the game. In other words, if something was making noise in the game on my right, i would hear it on the left ear piece. Not cool. However, the swivel ear pieces allow me to still be allowed to play, so even though i'm wearing the headset backwards, it still works. as far as sound quality goes, it's pretty good, but not the mind-blowing revelation i though i was getting when i bought it. So comfortable, but I might have to return it unfortunately.

I bought these as a part of a Best Buy Deal of the Day for $30. I didn't have a head set that had the in game audio so I figured that even if they didn't sound too good, it would be better than nothing and $30 wasn't too big of a risk for me. The sound quality is actually pretty decent but the construction quality is not. I had these for about two weeks and used them only about 3 times since I first got them and the left earpiece has already broken off on my set. I take good care of all of my products and if something is going to break on me it's going to be due to the quality of the product and not my treatment of it. I literally was just putting these on my head when I heard a snapping sound. It didn't immediately fall apart and I actually played with them for a few hours and when I took them off, the ear piece fell apart. Even at $30 I was disappointed with my purchase and I DO NOT recommend this product at any price.

I was very impressed with this headset. I also bought two more sets for other family members and they like them. Love the clip, I can clip the cord to my shirt and it stops the weight of the volumn control from pulling on the headset. For those times you don't want to chat, you can mute the chat and remove the mic from the headset.

These headphones are poorly designed. They broke after just two weeks of minimal use. The left earpiece just broke away from the headband. Best Buy was great about providing a refund and providing excellent customer service.

My grandson received this item as a Christmas present and has been ever so ecstatic!!!! It has become a fixture to his little head, and he just loves the sound boost. He is very pleased with his present, but even more pleased with his Nana for getting him this gift.

I bought these on sale for 20 bucks and I think that should be the normal price. Don't know what it is but everyday from time to time it makes an annoying noise like it's getting some interference but that's fixed by moving the cord around a bit. It's not great for heavy duty gaming but I like that you can use it as headphones for listening to music, they work great as headphones. In short cheaply built, and only buy if they're on sale and/or very cheap at around 10-20 bucks. Not worth 60 by a longshot. I only needed these to hold me out until I saved up enough for Astros, so yeah if you're a heavy duty gamer not a good product.

Got this item on sale and so glad I purchased them. The sound on them is amazing. Wish they was wireless. My husband loves them!

headphone earpiece snapped off like a twig after 2 days of use. i took care of them too. :( go with a higher tier tritton model! this is not a quality made product. best buy refunded me no problem.

Don't buy this tritton headset! I barely got this today and put it on and the headset just fell off! I was like Nooo! What garbage. Best but has a great return system so I got my money back.
