This is a tin case (not a steelbook) containing a standard blu-ray case containing three blu-rays (one for each movie, naturally.) There is nothing special about the tin--in fact, it is a little annoying as it does not fit properly on a shelf--but in some cases this may be cheaper than buying all three blu-rays separately.

I picked this up because I wanted to see Fury Road but haven't seen the originals in over 10 years. Anyways, I was surprised by how well they held up after all these years. It's nice seeing old movies where stunts and effects were real instead of just blue/green screens and everything being a digital wash. The sequences were thrilling and the action chaotic. Just the way these movies are meant to be. If you're an action film fan, this series is a must-have in your collection.

This box set includes the first 3 Mad Max movies on blu-ray: Mad Max (1979), Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981), and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (1985). The packaging for this set is a tin box housing a regular blu-ray case, which contains the movies across 3 discs. The tin case is nice, but it doesn't have the title printed on the side (the traditional blu-ray case inside does, however). Despite their age, these films hold up pretty well on blu-ray…but don't expect much in terms of special features here. In the wake of the new Fury Road sequel, I recommend re-watching these classics–and this is the best way to do so for a reasonable price.

This is the way to enjoy the Mad Max trilogy. I upgraded finally from VHS to Blu Ray on this particular movie set and have others I need to take care of. I was pleased that the copy of Mad Max (original) can be watched in the original theatrical dubbed version via sound settings or original audio track made available in the 25th anniversary edition. It comes with a nice aluminum case. A must have for any Mad Max fan.

Upon getting this, found out the external box covering this Blu-ray set was made out of metal, very fitting for the theme of the movie. Watched all 3 Blu-rays on Xbox 1 and all looked great, the sounds were amazing, and no problems. Defintely worth the purchase although the price could have been a little lower due to the amount of extras for each movie.

I had never seen any of these movies, and waited for them on blu and I am not disappointed! What a phenomenal series. It eats at the raw emotional core of humanity. And when the world goes bad, I want a Mad Max around for me! Also can't wait for the reboot of the series. Looks very intense, but I think everyone should watch these first! :)

The first movie will always be a classic. If you like fast cars motorcycles and never say die attitude then youl like this Movie. Still a blast to watch. The second is also great with impressive car chases and non stop action. The last Movie Beyond Thunder dome is largely forgettable. They could have left it out and I'd have still bought the set. Mad Max and the Road Warrior though are cult classics. There still worth watching and I enjoyed them.

I really like the steel case on this set and thoroughly enjoy the movies. I think a little more effort could have gone into creating the packaging though. I like steel book sets and thought that is what this was but it is just the BluRay packaging in a metal tin. It would have been nice to have gotten digital copies of the movies as well. Other than that I like the collection and enjoyed the films. Great sound and video quality.

This Mad Max trilogy is the best it has ever been restored. The original Mad Max film has been restored with the original audio. All three were remastered to pristine image and sound. If you love the Mad Max series you will treasure this Blue ray set.

It's just the 3 movies in it's normal blue plastic blu-ray case. No special steelbook, it's just a container. One that doesn't even fit easily on my shelf. Maybe it would be cool to hang on a wall? Not really sure what they were thinking here. 4/5 stars for the movies being awesome, loses a star for not being a cool steelbook and just a container for the normal packaging.

Bought this so I could reacquaint myself with the films before seeing Fury Road. For the price you pay for the set, this is more than just a bargain! The steelcase is beautiful and perfectly protects the Blurays. A must buy for fans of the films

The first 2 are some of my favorite movies of all time (don't care much for Thunderdome, but enjoyed it more upon a recent viewing). Great transfer to blu ray for all three. I picked this up for $24.99, so you can't get much of a better deal than that.

These movies are great for its time, and I enjoy them now! I won't review the the story but more so the package. There are really no bonus features. It doesn't bother me too much but I sometimes look forward to getting that extra content. My biggest complaint is the quality. Granted it is better than its original format and it does look decent and sometimes good, I feel like there was a lot of laziness. The first movie had good quality. The second started off good, and it had shots here and there that looked like dvd quality. Sometimes there were moments that were grainy, especially scenes at night. The third was the worst quality. It felt like a dvd and was often grainy. I still enjoy watching them and the quality doesn't bother me too much. I just get high expectations for video/sound when watching blurays. My setup is a Samsung 55" led tv with monster gold plated hdmi cables.

These are old movies that I had not seen in a long time. I thought it would be nice to see them again. I understand that a new Max Max movie will be out soon. Check out Mel when he was younger. Very easy to order online.

If you love Mad Max this is the set to own. It's in a very cool tin case. Nothing special in the tin case. Just a standard blu-ray case that holds all 3 disc. I believe this is the only trilogy for MM available.

It had been years since I last saw these and with the new version coming out I wanted to revisit this trilogy. It was a lot of fun to watch - we really enjoyed it! I had forgotten how young Mel Gibson was when he first did this!

I bought this for my brother as a gift. He loved the tin that it came in and was excited that all three movies we're included. He has watched these movies so many times since Christmas it is hard to count!

If this isn't the original post-apocalypse action movie, it definitely defined the genre. The look and feel of it have been imitated in dozens, if not hundreds of movies since. If you are at all interested in "Fury Road", be sure you see where it all started.

I had never seen the Mad Max Flim but I saw the remake and I loved it so I had to see the original movies ,so I had to get it... was great ♡ it... all three movies are great...

The first movie is as weird as anything come out of the UK in the seventies, but a great movie. Undoubtedly the best of the trilogy is part two, the Road Warrior. Awesome movie. Beyond the Thunderdome is all eighties. A bit weird bit still worth watching.
