Definitely a must-have piece for all the MAD MEN series fans

This Blu-Ray release truly is a feast for the eyes and ears! The video quality and audio quality are both spectacular! There are a lot of special features, but I haven't really explored them, though I don't really get into special features in general.

Gathered my complete series to send to my aunt and that's when I realized the Mad Men series wasn't complete. I was missing the Finale Season-Part 1. Ordered it, watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mad Men......one of the greatest series that I would re-watch several times.

This is a very high-quality release. The audio and video quality are both incredible.

Maybe it's the ennui engendered by the thought of Mad Men finally going off the air, but this season has a just slightly anemic quality at times. That said, the huge cast of characters continues to surprise with various skirmishes and denouements, and as always the show's production design is a complete knockout. Don may never figure out who he "really" is, and therefore hopes for a catharsis on the part of the show's rabid viewership may be a fool's errand, but watching him attempt to, well, "rebrand" himself still provides one of the most singular experiences in contemporary television. Once again, technical merits are very strong and this Blu-ray release laudably includes the kind of excellent supplements that fans had come to expect after the first few seasons. Highly recommended.

The first time I watched Mad Men, I immediately fell in love with the period references and flashback to those times. The characters have all been slowly and mysteriously developed as the years went on, and I found myself absolutely hooked. The final season (or the first half) really puts more perspective on the characters and helps to begin closing out the story of Don, Joan, Bert, etc. This is one of my favorite seasons so far, minus the fact that it means the series is ending soon...

Mad Men was a great series that took you through what life was like back in the sixties & seventies era in the corporate world of advertising. Was hooked after watching the 1st episode. Don Draper is a complicated character and you need to pay attention closely to his role in the series. There are other twists & turns that are heart wrenching, liberating & surprising. This DVD is a must have if your a fan & I wish the series wouldn't have come to an end!

When I started watching Mad Men I was surprised that I enjoyed the show as much as I did. I'm in my lower twenties and I believe this shoe is targeting a more mature audience. However, I was captivated from the beginning. Jon Hamm is incredible and the rest of the cast is stellar. I can't wait to see how the story ends. This particular season was excellent and definitely got some momentum going.

Mad Men is my all-time favorite show from beginning to end. I'm in the midst of rewatching the entire series with my roommate/friend, and somehow it resonates even more the second time through. The vibrant 1960's period detail, the complicated characters, and the heavy emotional depth combine for pure, masterful storytelling!

The final season edition in this series captures the feels and the personal journey of one lost man, to the end of the 60's decade. It concludes his story, one of a success full man, who still seems to be looking for his identity, but not finding any peace and fulfillment amongst all his success. it concludes his destructive personal story, and the story of the people that he encounters along the 60's long decade, as he turns toward a more spiritual personal journey and uses it to further his professional success.

This has been a captivating and surprising show from the very first episode. The cast is magnificent and larger than life. They are three dimensional, sometimes dark and often not what they appear to be. The show captures the times perfectly. Great show!

... It is ending! This is the first half of the final season of this amazing show, and anyone who has been following it since the beginning knows that Don Draper's experiences are coming to a head. What will happen next? How will it end? This is where you begin to find out! What are you waiting for?

Family members were working at Advertising Agencies in NYC in the 1960s found the series true to the core of the antics that permeated Advertising Agencies in those hey days! Memories revived/relived thru superlative scripts and acting portrayals! Great Series!

While it did make me angry that they split the season in half, yet charged the same price as a full season, I did get a great deal on this at BestBuy.com. And it was soo worth it. I love this series and the characters in it. I am so sad this is the end already.

I have no idea how we missed this during its original run. But we enjoyed the entire series on DVD. Had to wait a few extra days for these last episodes since this set was not readily available at our local Best Buy. We settled in and watched this set as the series came to a satisfying conclusion.

So glad Best Buy had these available and sent them to me quickly. I wanted the DVDs so I can watch at my convenience and see all the extra material.

Bought this Blu-ray to complete my collection of one of the best shows of all time. The TV show grew in writing, characters and storytelling as time went on and it went out as only it could, reflecting back on its roots of advertising.

The final season of the series was the only one to be released in two parts--a bummer. The series spanned accurately the periods of the late 1950's to 1970, and as it deserved, was one of the few series to have a great and final ending with Don Draper ending up much the way we figured he would be.

Mad Men returned after, in my opinion, a somewhat lackluster 6th season to get right back into form for the first half of its final season. Watching Don have to take his lumps for his outburst at the end of last season has been great, and I'm looking forward to the last half of the season in 2015.
