Best Madden in years. PS4 has great graphics and smooth gameplay

Are you desperate for more realistic shadows and overall better looking aesthetics and a roster update? If yes then you can probably be forgiven for shelling out 60 for the game. I'll preface by stating I've never been an online player in any way, so this could definitely void the review for some which is understandable. Now on to my review of Single player career...it's the same, almost literally the same. I don't care about MUT. I don't care about your ham handed soap opera. I want to move a team and design every aspect of the move I want to design a stadium. I want chemistry to effect team play. The draft is still good but you nailed that last year. We do this song and dance every year. Little by little you add features that were in previous seasons iterations and by the end of a console's life cycle it's a fully fleshed out game. Meanwhile, on the new console it's like a demo offered at full price with slightly better graphics. I've bought the last 3 copies of Madden consecutively and I'm going to have to take pause before I buy another, some changes need to be addressed with Career Mode because it's becoming fairly stagnant at this point.

I love this game. It’s the first madden that I have been able to play longer than 2-3 weeks. They are constantly adding more things to it. The new way they did the player ratings this year is amazing. A player with 94 speed will clearly out run a player with 86 speeds unlike previous maddens. Ratings were a big improvement this year!

This is the first game to visually show a tremendous advantage over the PS4 regular version having a 4K television and playing both versions. Lighting is simply tremendous on the PS4 PRO in this madden 18 as well as the expanded features of last years MUT are almsot endless and updated weekly, the new longshot story mode offers a new wrinkle that is a throwback to the EA NCAA games I miss so much as is the vastly improved FASTER more arcade gameplay like those game sof old which makes this Madden an absolute must buy. There is no way you will not like it and find hours to get into it. It is almost TOO deep but this is a good thing given the lack of games for the PS4 as of late. Buy it-Now.

I was shocked how good this game was. Usually Madden makes incremental improvements to each game in the series and along with the updated team rosters and addition of college draft picks rolls out its new series. The engine overhaul to DICE has made this game a lot better. The controls are more responsive and I find the Computer controlled players react much better to coverage on receivers and blocking running routes. I am enjoying the base game and the Madden Ultimate Team creator which feels more fleshed out than last year. I have not tried the Longshot mode yet, but I think it will be a great addition to the game. Definitely worth buying.

Great Game overall but some things still lacking in the year over year upgrade I'd like to see added like a build a franchise mode. The Ultimate Team gameplay does increase the replayability aspect as a different game mode from the old modes since it's addition.

Game plays great and looks great (PS4 Pro) Just be aware it needs some work. Primarily The zones are bad and supposedly there is a patch coming in 2-3 weeks to fix it. Certainly is fun .. just needs a fix here and there.
