This game plays a little bit like GTA but with specific missions that you must complete to advance the story. There are a few other modes of play but I only completed the main story. The shooting is great even though you'll always be outnumbered. One good thing is you have automatic health regeneration...no need to look for health packs but be prepared to die a lot! The auto saves are well placed so you won't have to go back too far when you die. The driving is great fun...especially when the cops are after you and they are everywhere so you can count on lots of high speed chases! I had a lot of fun with this game.

I found this for great deal and couldn't pass it up & not that bad either for the complete edition. Good look 2K!

good game to play and story is good, especially if you like mafia 1

I really enjoyed the first version and the 2nd did not disappoint. The story line carries well and the processes are better than ever.

Game is vulgar and filthy, don’t get me wrong is fun to play, however for teens it has unnecessary language and I felt it degrading to women in general.

Bought this game for my boyfriend cuz he played the one for the first Playstation years ago so figured he would like it, he did but got through it very quick.

Overall, I think Mafia II is a good game but not a great game. The story line is straightforward and very easy to understand. The story itself is played out almost like a movie. The graphics of the game are good, with some frame rate issues. The acting is excellent, and the music fits the era very well. The only reason I think this game is only good, because it seems like it's not finished. Why is it every time I go into a gun store or a clothing store, the cashiers all look the same, and the building itself looks almost identical to the one I was just at. Why do I constantly see the same people walking down the side walk. I just think the developers could of done a lot more with it. I also think that their should of been a larger selection of cars and clothing. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the game is bad, it just, like i said before, seems like it's not done, and the developers were just in a rush to get it done. They do have add on for this game that add cars and clothing, but I just think they should of done it in the first place. The last thing about this game that they should of done is making the world seem more alive....every once and a while I see a cop pull someone over, but that about it. I don't think the world is dead. But there could of been more to it, like people getting kicked out of bars, or shoot outs with gangs. Overall I think this game is good and is a good buy, but I just think that there could of been more.

I wish their was more freedom like GTA but overall it was a great game.

A lot of good to come out of this game. The story is well told, the gameplay is fun, and the world is incredible. Some may be disappointed that it's not a sandbox-like game such as GTA but I like how they pulled this off as a linear game in an open world setting. It set the bar fairly high for third person shooter adventure games and is worth buying. I got this delivered from a local Best Buy, because they were out of stock at the store, and I still can't stop playing it. Just a warning, the game is rough, tough, brutal, violent, and M rated but it is a very addictive experience and a lot of fun. Please, do yourself a favor and buy this amazing game!

Half way through the missions it won't load anymore disappointed

Story is fantastic. Really keeps you wanted to play. Devs paid good attention to details. I always found myself noticing something new throughout the entire game. Game is a little short. It is possible to beat it in one extended play through. There are collectibles to make you go back and play again. Only major issue to me is that you drive WAY too much in the game. Drive to mission... drive here... then drive home and go to bed. It gets old VERY quickly!!! Caution to parents... there is nudity in this game.

This is obviously a GTA clone, and it hits a lot of the same beats. The gameplay is not as good as GTA 5 and the graphics by today's standards are ok at best. The controls are fine but not as tight as I would like. The story is pretty solid, but there is way too much pointless driving. Recommend on a sale.

Good game with good graphics. The story is good but too short. The game is realistic because if you get one star you don't get arrested, like in any GTAs, you just pay a fine. You can bribe the police not to get arrested and i like to rob stores. The cars and music are also good because this game is actually a game my parents like.

This game will leave you wanting more personally i like the era it takes place in and i think this game is better than gta4 because thats been done so many times but this game does stand alone.
