Mafia III put a high priority on its backstory, immersion, and presentation. but unfortunately left little to flesh out the city of New Bordeaux. It's worth playing for the campaign, but perhaps there isn't a need to rush.

I sold it back within 48 hours. It's repetitive on so many levels that it's just not fun after a few hours.

its ok, not as good as i was expecting. it would be a good game to get on sale.

Having played both the first and second Mafia games, I went into this one expecting to have the same fun as with the previous. I completely loved Mafia II until the one expansion, but on Mafia III I went in expecting the same quality out of the gate. The story was a little slow to start and after a few hours into the gameplay I found myself mostly dis-interested in the story. Some interviews (cinematics) I watch, others I go do something else while they are going. Some of the dialogue that is boring, I wish I could skip, but have not found a way to. All in all it is fun, but the story didn't really do it for me. I do think that with current events, some people may either get angered or add fuel to their fires with events in this game. If you like Mafia games expect the same level, just realize the story may or may not be as interesting as in the previous games.

Mafia 3 has a great story and fun gameplay. New Bordeaux cool and vibrant, but it still feels a little empty. The side missions can be repetitive and a little boring, but taking them on in different ways can make it a little more exciting.

Played 5 hours so far and been enjoying the game, but the side missions are lacking, but the cut scenes are what really drive me to keep playing.
