This game continues the same open-world style gameplay for those familiar with the series. Focused in a fictional New Orleans style city, the game still has the same action focused missions combined with expanding territory and taking out (or recruiting) rival gangs. It's not perfect, but I had a blast with it and the different take on the story was a nice breath of fresh air.

I never played the original Mafia, but I did play Mafia II and LOVED it. There was something about the story that drew me in. This one just felt like they had an idea for a game set in New Orleans but didn't think it would sell as a new IP. So they just tacked the Mafia title to it. It was a decent enough game, but it just didn't give me the mafia feeling. It was a fun playthrough though and an easy Platinum if you are into trophies.

This has been a great game. It kind of reminds me of a combination of Far Cry 3 and Grant Theft Auto 4 which are to of my favorite games of all times. The story line and city layout give the game the GTA fill and the ability to carry out you missions any way you see fit gives the game the free flowing fill that you get with Far Cry. Side missions could have varied more and the side mission characters could have been flushed out more, but overall this is one of the best games I've play since Far Cry 4 and the solid game play gives the game replay value on its own. I hope they don't take to long with a follow up. I think this game really has a chance to become a leading franchise.

If you like GTA, you'll love Mafia 3 because it's pretty similar. The New Orleans setting and rockin' 60s soundtrack are a welcome change from the GTA series though.

Good game, an improvement over Mafia 2. Interesting setting, and well written story.

Mafia series just keeps getting better. So much detail within the game play. It's a keeper. With the low price $9.99 and gamers discount you can't go wrong.

Graphics are great story was also fantastic the the gamplay was not the best and it was to repetitive for my taste.

This is a decent open world game that has some bugs still. However the subject matter is not for the faint of heart and can be very brutal at times.

Mafia 3 is an open-world game set in the deep south in the 1960s. The game covers racial undertones, with some excellent voice acting by the characters along the way. In addition to a fine story, the game has some of the best (licensed) music you can hear in a video game. So while the game starts out well for the first two hours or so, the game ultimately morphs into a generic open world slog, which you'll use to help build your mob empire.

While the gameplay can be a little repetitive, the environment is great, the soundtrack is superb, and the story is incredibly well written.

Good action, and a great storyline. Very solid game at a good price.

Got it on black friday sale and am having a good time with it. Not the greatest game in the world, but for a sale price worth the fun.

I really enjoy this game for being a great nod back to the 60's, the music and map is great. The cars, their are a few fun ones but most of them are pretty slow and boring (at least they are being true to how fast cars went back then). Game gets a little repetitive but still pretty fun and easy to get into. Haven't finished it yet but intend too!

Has amazing graphics and story plot. New Orleans looks amazing. Im from new orleans and when i drove downtown, I immediately recognized what streets and buildings I was passing. But.. It gets repetitive quickly and if it wasn't for the story line making me want to know how it would end, i would've probably set the game down half or a third of the way through.

I live the retro feeling of the game. It put me in a time where racial strife was huge. You play the game and get angry at the bigotry that went on. The story missions push the game along and you want to learn more. the side missions are ho hum, whatever. I love the music!
