Interesting movie set between the wars. Colin Firth plays a man trying to prove a woman is not what she says she is. Naturally, things do not go to plan.

A Must for Woody Allen Movie Collectors

While not one of Woody's finest it is an enjoyable movie with a fine and talented cast... For all Woody fans who collect his movies I suggest purchasing it for your collection, and not having worry about obtaining it later, since Allen films are often tough to acquire down the road... And surprise, surprise... this one even has some Bonus Features... which was once unheard of with Woody's DVD/BRDs.

Woody Allen mixes humor and big ideas in this film. Not one of his best, but still an enjoyable movie.

"Magic In The Moonlight" - Delightfully Quirky!!! A charmingly witty 20's period piece... Academy Award Winner Colin Firth, is at his best. Marvelous supporting cast, beautiful costumes, music and scenic design. Enjoy a good chortle.

Small film, acted superbly by everyone in it. If you love great acting great scenery and a fun plot get this.

Say what you will about Woody Allen, he is extraordinarily prolific. Last year's Blue Jasmin gained favor with fans and critics alike and Midnight in Paris was arguably more well recieved. Annie Hall, Manhattan, Crimes and Misdemenors, Hanna and Her Sisters, Deconstructing Harry, and Sleeper are all top notch films that any filmmaker can be proud of. Though not a bad film by any stretch, Magic in the Moonlight will not be counted among these. Colin Firth plays a cynical magician who is asked to figure out how a young medium (Emma Stone) is able to perform such astonishing tricks. They have to be tricks right? What follows is a charming little love story that may be too trite for some. It's simple and light-hearted thought I don't think it will stand the test of time.
