Buyer beware. Sleek and sexy, but know after an hour with Apple customer service, the Touch ID does NOT work with anything other than apple apps or software. I have the top Mac M1 Max and the Apple Studio Display but still, it will NOT work with Google Chrome browsers. It will NOT work for the password to start up your computer. You can NOT use it for any other browsers other than Safari, and even then it will only work in some instances. If you are buying this, as I did, for the Touch ID feature, just know the instances where it does not work vastly outweighs the instances it may and didn't make it worth buying for my use.

Initial Inquiry & Decision: I was looking for a wireless keyboard that offers both a comfortable typing experience and enhanced security features for my Mac with Apple silicon. The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID seemed ideal for its ease of use, wireless design, and biometric authentication. Unboxing, Build Quality, & Testing: The keyboard delivers a comfortable, precise typing experience, with keys that feel responsive and well-spaced. The Touch ID sensor adds fast and secure authentication for logging in and approving purchases, making everyday tasks smoother and safer. It pairs automatically with the Mac, allowing immediate use without complicated setup. The built-in rechargeable battery provides about a month of use on a single charge, making it convenient for everyday productivity. The included woven USB-C to Lightning cable allows easy pairing and charging via a USB-C port on the Mac. Overall Impressions and Recommendation: Apple’s Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is a great choice for Mac users who want a wireless, efficient keyboard that combines comfort with enhanced security. It offers seamless integration and long battery life, making it highly recommended for anyone using Apple silicon Macs.

I’ve been using this device for about a month now. Excellent typing experience. The keys are well-spaced and offer a satisfying click when pressed. Lightweight but it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. Touch ID input is a game changer. Great battery life.

Bought the Apple Mouse and Keyboard together for my work-from-home setup, and I love them! Both are super sleek and minimal — exactly the clean look I wanted. They were really easy to connect and work perfectly with my Mac. Typing feels smooth, and the mouse is so responsive. Definitely upgraded my workspace!

Everything I hoped for. The Touch ID and charge hold time are two major features I want to highlight. Imagine the ease of having ur payment and password info at ur fingertip (literally). Not to mention the auto turn off feature which saves battery life, and extends time between charges. EXTREMELY easy to connect to any apple product; iPhone, iMac, or iPad.

As a wireless keyboard for a Mac Mini, or any Mac for that matter, this is a seamless device. Plug the USB cable into the Mac Mini, and it pairs automatically, couldn't be easier. On a desktop, this thing is good. It is super thin and has a tiny amount of slope, not really enough for wrist comfort. Slightly bigger than a 13 inch Mac laptop, it just works. On your knees, not as easy to use. Functional, but not perfection. A larger keyboard like a Logitech works better for lap use. Touch ID works perfectly, just like on a Mac laptop. Battery life is solid. The real downside to this - if it had a touch pad (I call them scratchy pads) to the right - the thing would be the perfect size for lap use. Adding the great big touch Apple wireless touch pad on a lap makes for a ton of juggling. Although imperfect, it is still a solid keyboard.

The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is an absolute joy to use. The keys have a smooth, responsive feel, and typing is quiet yet satisfying. Touch ID works flawlessly for unlocking my Mac and authorizing purchases—super convenient and fast. Setup was effortless, and the silver/white finish matches my Mac perfectly. It’s a bit of an investment, but the build quality, Apple integration, and convenience make it worth every penny.

Easy to set up and use. Instantly starts working because it connects right away and lets you know on screen it is connected. Also shows connection & battery percentage at the top. Built-in Touch ID does work great. *But it has some moments it would rather be pressed in rather than lightly “tapped” but I think that’s a software issue rather than issue with keyboard itself. Battery life is phenomenal. I haven’t had to charge it yet, I’ve had it a little over a month with constant daily college student use. Comfortable to type on and use for hours at a time. I have to type up a lot of papers and I don’t find my fingers or wrist cramping at all. I don’t use any wrist pads or anything like that.

The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for Mac is seriously amazing! It's like having a secret weapon for getting stuff done. I mean, Touch ID right on the keyboard? It's a total game-changer. No more typing in passwords every time you want to unlock your Mac – just a quick touch and you're in. And let me tell you, typing on this thing is a dream. The keys feel super smooth and responsive, so you can type away all day without missing a beat. Plus, it looks slick as heck on your desk. Seriously, it's like the cherry on top of your Mac setup. Whether you're a pro or just need a reliable keyboard for everyday stuff, the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is where it's at. Trust me, once you try it, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it!

I bought for a new Mac Mini I also purchased. They work great together, and the battery has lasted for quite a while before needing to be charged. The compact design is real nice, and the fingerprint sensor was worth the extra cost.

The compact size is the big draw, but great battery life, fingerprint ID, and quiet operation are all big pluses as well. Worth the extra bucks in my book after buying a $35 knock off that had loud clicky keys and was clunky and poor performing overall. You get what you pay for.

This keyboard works exactly as advertised, it hooks up easily and holds a charge for three-seven days of continuous use.

Really great keyboard if you have an apple silicon M chip computer. TouchID works flawlessly in unlocking my computer, password access, etc. I also like how quiet it is to type on the keyboard. Best keyboard apple has made. My only complaint is it's quite expensive for what it is. I feel as though it should be about $50 cheaper.

Great, especially like the Touch ID pad, and the lighting port connection.

Original keyboard failed so I bought this one. I like that it can be changed instead of replacing batteries which is the reason my old keyboard failed, battery leaked and damaged the unit.

Great keyboard. I like how it feels, its compact footprint and how it packs. I use it for my Vision Pro

It's a great keyboard but kind of hard to justify the price. The ONLY reason you would want/need to get this is if you use it with the latest M-chip variant Mac's. If you use Intel, get the non-touchID because: 1. touchID on keyboard will not work on Intel 2. non-touchID is cheaper Honestly, it's so convenient using the touchID on my MBP for all security authentication, so bringing this to my Mac Mini M1 was a big improvement to just typing in the password. In short, I paid the extra premium of a keyboard just to have touchID. By no means is this the best keyboard to type on or is it the smallest footprint. There are far better typing experience keyboards and ones that are just as small form-factor. With that said, this keyboard is not bad at all when it comes to typing on it. I love my MBP16 keyboard and this feels close to it, but not quite. It feels a little flat and the key cap surface is so smooth that it's hard for my fingers to find it's starting place. Get this keyboard if you want/need the touchID or if you're just an Apple must-have-er. If you're looking for a great typing experience in a small form factor, you could find better for cheaper.
