Customers are delighted by the MBP6700P 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player's exceptional picture quality and 4K performance. Many appreciate its ease of use, compact size, and affordable price. While some wish for Wi-Fi and streaming capabilities, the player's strong performance in playing DVDs and Blu-rays, along with its upscaling features, outweighs these shortcomings for most users.

A 4K Bluray player for under $100 is awesome...simple set up...simple interface...plays 4K media perfectly and upgrades normal Bluray to near 4K quality...of course a 4K TV is needed the only reason I took a star off is the remote, its a lil bigger than my thumb I have a difficult time as it is working my IPhone plus so working a remote this tiny is a bit tasking but it’s functional. A great 4K player not fancy or frilly if you want the bells and whistles you will be paying a WHOLE lot more. I paid $59.99 caught a great deal and couldn’t be happier.

This Magnavox 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player was a great replacement choice for an older Blu-ray player. Wanting to stay with the Maker of Phillips players I found that Magnavox was from the same maker! And the price was a good choice savings from other makers.

Basic 4K Player

This player is a good budget or basic 4K player. I have watched a few UHD discs, standard blu rays, and DVDS on it and all look solid.
THE GOOD
The UHD discs look great and the HDR works well. Normal blu rays upscale nicely and the one DVD I watched looked fine.
The player has a smaller design which fits nicely on my tv stand. Discs load fast and the interface is simple and easy to use.
THE BAD
This is one of the cheapest UHD players on the market so this is not a top of the line player. The remote really is quite small, not too hard to use but I can see it bothering people. No Dolby Vision support, which is a bummer since more and more discs are beginning to offer it. No audio out, just HDMI out, which is fine for most people but could be problematic if you have certain components for your home theatre. Does not do streaming.
If you're looking for an affordable way to watch UHD discs with HDR this player is a good option. At the time I bought, it was a good $120 cheaper than any other UHD player on the market. This player will get the job done until other more feature loaded players come down in price.

This is by far the cheapest price for a 4K player I’ve found and the ratings were better than some that cost 3x more. At first it wouldn’t play all my disks but I found the problem was my HDMI cable. Just cause the cable says 4K doesn’t mean it’s fast enough. I bought a faster speed 4K cable and this player works Great!! Small footprint. No noise. Perfect 4K picture!! I can’t think of a single drawback. Exactly what I wanted without all the junk I didn’t want.

Bought this player because it was on a good sale just to have an extra 4K player around for other TV set ups. It really is a great little player, we have a bigger Sony 4K player that serves as the main one for our home theater and that one plays blu-rays and 4Ks nice, but whenever we play regular old DVDs they skip and the sound drops out sometimes. But this wonderful little player plays DVDs just fine, which is great for when we want to watch older TV shows that are only available on DVD. It also plays blu-rays and most importantly 4Ks just as well as the Sony. I completely recommend it if you want a cheap player to start upgrading to a 4K system.

A basic, small form factor Blu-ray player. It does do 4k, and has good picture, but has practically no other features. No WiFi, No streaming, nothing but a blu-ray player with a HDMI and Ethernet ports. Tiny little remote, like the length of my fingers only. Some may find that annoying, others probably think it's cute. One warning: the box doesn't include a HDMI cable, so don't forget to acquire one.

Don’t need WiFi in a 4k Blu-ray player being that most TV’s are smart so I opted for the lower price player, got it for $49.99 on deal of the day sale and so far it does what I need it to, it’s true the remote is very small but that doesn’t bother me. I don’t often buy movies anymore, I usually stream them but every now and then I buy one and would like to be able to buy a 4k version so I needed this to be able to play on my 4k TV.

This is an absolute baseline 4k bluray player, it plays 4k blurays. It does that well and that is all that it does. If you are expecting smart apps, wifi or even the batteries to be included for your remote you are sorely mistaken. Needless to say it does provide the one function I bought it for, it plays 4k blurays. If that's enough for you as it was for me this is an excellent machine. If you are expecting more buy something else.

Great picture quality, easy to use, good upscaling. This is a perfect 4K player for entry-level 4K owners who don't want a lot of settings to figure out. The remote is very small and for people with larger hands may be an issue, but I didn't find it THAT annoying, even though it was occasionally annoying. If you can get this player for cheap on a sale and you don't need a lot of settings, its a great buy.

For some reason 4K players are uncomfortably expensive and this particular brand is very budget-friendly and gets the basic job done. Just note that this particular player just not support upgraded high-resolution sound files like Dolby Atmos, but nonetheless the quality has turned out great and it's been a real easy piece of equipment to use.

It is not “Smart” or “WiFi Capable”, but it is everything a 4K BDP should be! Fantastic quality, I used the same old HDMI cable (not the fancy 4K one), yet the quality is amazing! This should be your first 4K player, I would definitely recommend!

I was skeptical at first because it's so small and the price was so reasonable... "Too good to be true" comes to mind; BUT good things really do come in small packages!!!
I absolutely LOVE this unit! Easy to use, picture is great, cute remote. It gives me what I was looking for and expected in a 4k/blue-ray player.
Well played Magnavox!

I wanted an inexpensive 4k bluray player to go with my new 4k TV. Most 4k bluray players come with a lot of extra "smart" features I didn't need since my TV had the same features. I would think manufacturers that are making the 4k media devices would consider that not all TVs, bluray players, gaming consoles, etc. should have the same features. For example, if someone buys a 4k tv, it's usually a "smart tv", so why would that same person need a 4k "smart" bluray player? More people would adopt the 4k technology if all the devices were not so expensive with too many similar features. I'm glad I came across this Magnavox 4k bluray player (as a Deal of the Day item) that does not have the same smart features I have in my TV.

I plucked this 4K Blu-ray player for a song and can’t believe how good it actually is. I had an older 4K player that I paid 5 times as much for and this unit does an even better job at producing a perfect picture.

Recently purchased my first 4k UHD set, wanted to try out some ULTRA HD blurays to test the limits of my new TV. This player is a great first step, but obviously is not the best 4k player that money can buy. I picked it up for $59.99 on sale, a total steal. I was considering buying an Xbox One S to use as a 4k player, but this unit saved me some cash.
This player produces great visuals, but lacks a lot of features. There aren't any apps such as Netflix or Hulu, but that's okay because those are available on my TV and PS4. The player doesn't even have wifi to perform firmware updates, you need a CAT5 ethernet cable to connect this to the internet. The remote leaves much to be desired, it's very small and is only responsive when pointed directly at the player.
Overall, this is a great starting point for jumping into 4k ultra HD movies, but I'll be buying a better player in the next year or two.

I received a ultra-high-def movie for Christmas only to find out I needed a 4K DVD player to watch it. This was the lowest price, no frills player I could find. Setup was easy and it worked. I did have some skipping issues with the 4K dvd I had, but that appeared to be an issue with dust on the dvd. I polished it and it played fine. Other, 1080 DVDs have played just fine either this.

For the price this Magnavox is so easy to use. The controls are fine and plays DVDs, Blu Rays, and 4k discs with great quality. It has a small footprint and it can fit anywhere by your television. You will need to purchase a 4k HDMI cable separately.

This very basic Bluray 4K player is a very good value, especially when it goes on a special sale. I've been watching the prices which have remained quite high. But a basic series of true 4K players has been released in the last 4 months. No WiFi or smart streaming. Just a single HDMI output and an Ethernet port used for updating the firmware/software. Very easy to install and setup and great picture quality. Quite compact, fits almost anywhere. Note: Be sure you use an HDMI cable rated for 4K transmission. This is especially true if you need to use a cable exceeding 10'.
