Bought this on sale for near 50% off, between my Samsung Smart tv , my Roku, my dish Receiver, I wanted a cheap 4K blu Ray player, but needed nothing with smart functionality. This fit the bill to my 4K tv. A simple connect to my 4K tv and Ethernet connection for any updates , and my Avengers 4K disc as a test and I have to say wow! The HDR is great , picture is so crisp and detailed and the price makes it even better! A great no frills basic 4K blu Ray player is all I needed , and this fit the bill!

This is a solid, if not basic, 4K Blu-Ray player. If you need 2 HDMI outs, or other connections, this isn't for you. If you plan on plugging this into a home theater receiver that is not HDCP 2.2 compatable, you will not get 4K output, so check out your specs before buying. That goes for most 4K blu-ray players. The unit is compact, quick to load and puts out a great picture. For $50-80 it's a great deal if you just want to watch 4K Blu-Ray.

This is the lowest priced 4k player you can buy and works fantastic. If you don't want a wifi player with all the apps this is what you need. Just a basic player with awesome price and picture.

Ok, I've had this for a couple days and can say it is well worth it. No...its not a smart player, but it does indeed do what it should and that's play movies!! Load time is a touch longer, can be tricky to tell if unit is off sometimes and remote is small. Ok that's negative. Positives now.... plays 4k , movies look fantastic, very simple to use and to the point. The price is half or more off compared to other players and offers just as good graphics.

I bought this to replace a 12 year old regular DVD player. And it works awesome. It does not hook up via wifi so you must have an ethernet connection to update the drive if necessary. It will read USB media but will not recognize a USB wifi device. Quality and ease of use are awesome. This is not a smart BluRay, which is what I wanted to go with my smart TV so if you have a non-Smart HDTV, this will NOT give you any smart functionality.

This was my first 4K player I got after I got my first 4K tv and it is still the one I use. It's super simple, not many controls, and the upscaling on the DVDs and especially the Blu-Rays is fantastic. My only downside of this player is also an upside at times. The minimal controls make the player super easy to use. However they do cause me to not be able to do things like change aspect ratio or certain display settings that I wish I could. I understand it is a low budget and beginner player I just wish it had a couple more settings to help with the user experience.

I purchased two of these on the deal of the day. I needed to replace a DVD player for a second TV and wanted to add a blu-ray player for my bedroom TV. There are no "bells and whistles" on the units but I don't even know what those would be, nor did I need them. I just need them to play DVDs and Blu-Rays on the rare occasions that I want to watch them. I would say they are not worth the full list price but they're a good value on sale. The size of the units is also pretty small which is nice.

My wife and I grabbed this as our blu ray player finally died after several years. We wanted a 4K player but didn't want to pay insane prices. This player is hitting the spot, so far. Understand though: there's no wifi, no apps, nothing like that. This is PURELY for watching a 4K and that's it. We have game systems to watch other things, so this is working out nicely.

I bought this player mainly for the Blu-ray but I liked that it came as a 4k player and for the price I couldn't resist. Its not a smart player which I didn't need since I already have a smart TV. The picture is clear and crisp. I plan on using the 4K when I get one (why I gave it 4 out 5 stars) but as good as the Blu-ray looks I'm sure the 4K wont disappoint.

Good unit for a great price. Easy setup & very good 4K picture quality. I would consider this an excellent product for its price point.

If you've already got a smart TV, smart game consoles, or a smart media streamer such as a Shield or a Roku, then you probably don't need a 4K Blu-ray player with all the fancy bells and whistles. Probably the only negative I can think of is that the remote is TINY and easy to lose. We actually had it fall deep into the crevices of our sofa and it was nearly impossible to fish out. Good thing we usually just use our Harmony remote. I'm thinking most people with a decent AV setup will just use a universal of some sort anyway, so this may or may not be a big deal to you. So, if you just want a player that is reliable and fast and plays 4K nicely then you really should pick this one up, especially if you can catch it on a $60 sale or deal of the day like I did. This player has excellent video and audio quality, and does exactly what it says it will. It doesn't have smart features or even Wi-Fi but if all you need is for it to play your Ultra HD 4K movies, this will do the job nicely.

I read many reviews before I actually made my purchase. The price was just right as well. I was eyeing a Samsung but it was over $200 and I didn’t want to spend that much because I just purchased a 4K tv. This Blu-ray doesn’t have any app which was fine because the tv is a smart tv and everything I needed on it. I would definitely recommend this Blu-ray player. The picture is amazing.

I got this rather cheap ($60), and it was meant to replace the Xbox One S. Sometimes you don’t need all the extra frills of a smart tv/box, so this will handle what it’s supposed to do (play discs). I will definitely purchase more of these to replace other dvd/Blu-ray players in the house when it goes on sale again. Recommended!

This is the cheapest 4K player I could find. I wanted a 4K player for my new TV and didn't want to spend $300. This is just a simple 4K player. NO extras at all. It will play 4K discs and that's it. If you just need a 4K player and nothing else, this is the model for you.
