Returning this item...does not work properly

Overall the device was easy to use. I made several VCR tapes into DVDS. The quality seemed pretty good as well. Within the first week, the machine would not turn on, however. (One of my tapes is trapped in the machine!) The power switch would light up and shut down within 2 seconds. I'm not sure if this is a glitch with this particular machine, since it was a refurbished item. I was disappointed to have it die within the first week...but not entirely surprised. Hopefully I will be able to get store credit. Word to the wise, save your packing material... I just recycled mine, and obviously still need it to return the product.

Set up and recording from my vcr tapes are easy. I still haven't learned everything this recorder can do but its just what I was looking for. Can't tell the difference between refurbished and new. I love it so far

WHY HAS THE POWER OUTPUT BE LIMITED TO 110V. ARE YOU TRYING TO LIMIT THE USAGE TO AMERICA OR OTHER COUNTRIES WITH POWER SOURCE OF 110V. THIS HAS TO BE IMPROVED UPON FOR THE BENEFIT OF OTHER NATIONS. I NEED YOUR RESPONSE

I was unable to hook this recorder to my 2005 TV.

I tried every color combination and sought the advice of an electronics professional, but was unable to connect the recorder to my newest TV. It is a Memorex, produced in 2005. There is nothing on the TV Menu nor physical a switch on the back that allows the TV to bond to the Magnavox recorder. I reboxed it and put it in storage until I decide I need a new TV.
