It makes using the washer easier without trying to bend over to start the washer. The magnetized remote is easy to store , just stick it to the side of the washer

It's a nice to have and certainly not required. I wasn't sure what to expect but it does save some on your back by allowing you to stand fully upright to select your washing options.

It controls the twin pedestal but not exactly sure how it makes laundry easier. You still have to bend down to put clothes in and take them out and also to snap the lid shut before pushing it in so that the cycles can begin. Also, the remote is line of sight so you must be within proximity of the pedestal in order to use this remote at all.

Very handy! It doesn't magnetize very well on those very bumpy spin cycles. So I put it on top of washer or dryer.
