Denzel Washington makes good movies and he played a good role as the role of Malcolm X

This is one of the all time great performances and portrayals of a historical figure by a young Denzel Washington. Denzel is simply immense in this film, and this surely must rank amongst his greatest ever performances. He excellently portrays the life of a truly remarkable and fascinating figure in Malcolm X, going into real detail and giving the viewer a real insight into his life and time period. I would recommend this as essential viewing to anyone interested in Malcolm X, and particularly any students studying this area of Civil Rights, it really will provide a great overview of this period and plenty of detail around the key moments in the life of Malcolm X.

Great film about the controversial Malcolm X. Denzel Washington is superb.

This is a well organized and directed movie with lots of Spectacular scenes, as well as the most beautiful moments done in this particular movie. This movie was one of the best in my opinion made in the format in which I believe, making it the most exciting biographical movies made. With respect to the Original autobiography of “MALCOM X” so yes this movie is a must have.

Be sure to watch the Netflix documentary on who killed Malcolm X along with this excellent movie with Denzel Washington at his best. Malcolm X was a dynamic African American leader who dared to expose the hypocrisy of Elijah Muhammad as well as the ugliness of American racism. A dynamic force snuffed out by the Nation of Islam with white U.S. establishment complicit by allowing it to happen.

A good movie that teaches good history for black rights

Was so happy I was able to find this in Beat Buy!!!! Anyone who has shopped for this movie, KNOWS how difficult it is to find this movie. Price is definitely worth it. Besides coming with the Movie and the obvious special features, it features a whole other documentary that was published during the black panther era. I must stress that the extra documentary is EXTREMELY enlightening for any one who wants to know more about the time period leading up to Malcolms death. It features soooo much real footage showing the tensions between Malcolm X and the Nation of Islam/Fruit of Islam....id be lying to say the documentary does nit have more infirmation then the Malcolm X film itself (NO DISRESPECT TO MY MAN SPIKE LEE, I LOVE SPIKE LEE)...CANT STRESS ENOUGH GETTING THIS 2 DISC SET

This is a classic must have. Though based a true story there were some stuff I always find hilarious in the movie. Aside from that, get this and add it to the archives or collection. It's deep movie of Malcolm X. Bless his soul and thanks Denzel for fulfilling the role in the movie with your talent.
