I'm a big fan of this movie. It was made with a very low budget, but that being said I think it turned out great. The fact that it primarily takes place in a mall is a lot of fun and I think takes people back to when they were young and would just 'hang' out, not necessarily at a mall even. I'm familiar with the mall where it was filmed so its even more relate able for me.

The walls in the mall are totally, totally tall.

The second movie in the View Askew-averse after Clerks. It may be difficult for young adults these days to understand why malls were so popular in the 80's and 90's but in the days before Twitter, Facebook and online multi-play we had to go someplace to meet with our friends. The mall was one of those places that you could go and waste a day even if you were broke.

Very under-rated Kevin Smith movie. I'm not sure why its been so forgotten. This was the homage to comic book movies before they were popular. Crude humor and a fast paced story keep the movie moving.

Good Transfer of the Film. Extended Version's Scenes We're Cut for Good Reason; Additional "Rifle-Caught-in-Hair" Storyline Slows the Film Down (but Does Explain a Few Things from the Theatrical Version)

I know it isn't considered a classic in terms of the Smith Library but it still fits nicely with in the New Jersey Trilogy including Clerks and Chasing Amy. It's a fun trip back to those days when you spent time just hanging out at the mall...and would get five stars but the transfer from dvd to blu ray doesn't have a wow factor, but it is a steal for $8.00

It was interesting to see the alternate cut of this film. I had seen most of the scenes on the first dvd, but never all in context. While I prefer the theater cut, the first cut is cool to finally see. Both versions are in full HD and the film has never looked better.

Certainly a product of its time, and perhaps hasn't aged as well as one would have hoped, but this film is simply silly and fun. The new blu-ray release looks good, and retains the special features on the DVD edition. The cast commentary is worth a listen, the participants have a great camaraderie and provide as many laughs as the movie itself.

Words just trivialize how well written and executed this show is.
It's not just about doctors. It's personal relationships and real life situations leave everyone who watches this show something that they can relate to. Unless you are robotic and even then...

I have not watched it yet since purchasing it from Best Buy, but I have seen this movie numerous times and it is hilarious. Great movie with Jay and Silent Bob. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good laugh.

While Mallrats doesn't quite reach the quality of "Chasing Amy" or "Clerks" this is still a fun movie and essential to rounding out your Kevin Smith collection. I bought it because it was a low price and I hadn't seen it in years. It was a fun to rewatch it again and going in knowing "This isn't as good Clerks" help me enjoy it more.

Very good movie. The first Kevin Smith movie I ever saw. Very funny, but very risque. Not for viewers that don't like very strong language. Plus a Stan Lee cameo.

I love "Mallrats". Not just because I'm a Jersey guy, but Kevin Smith's takes are so true. Also has a part in "The Dirt Mall", which is supposed to be the old US Route 1 Flea Market. Never had a topless fortune teller but I got a cat there. Buy and enjoy "Mallrats".

Universal is hit-and-miss with catalog blu-ray releases, but this is better than their usual effort. A low-budget film that will never look fantastic, the disc looks and sounds fine. But most importantly, it carries over the vast majority of the previously-produced extras from the DVD releases.

Another Kevin Smith must have Blu-ray to add to your collection. Have been looking for this in store on blu-ray for some time now. Finally found it, and for an amazing price of $5.99!

This is probably the best of Kevin Smith's movie. Not so much navel gazing as his other work and plenty of in-jokes for those paying attention. It's a well-paced, tightly scripted story and a lot of fun as well.

A must see for any Kevin Smith fan has many of the same characters in other Smith Films...Jay, Silent Bob and others. Film is supposed to take place a day before Clerks but released a year later. Great cast. Very funny film at a great price.
