If you love Abba and a fabulous cast, you will enjoy this movie. Aesthetically it is beautiful to watch, it's a lot of fun! You should definitely watch this movie as the prequel to part 2. It is so worth the money, try to get the anniversary edition with blueray and the digital download...enjoy!

This has got to be one of the best feel good movies i have ever watched. I watched it 7 times while it was still in the theater and numerous times since i can access it at home. The music, the scenery, the acting, the actors......i dont think i could find a flaw in any area. the music is definitely oscar worthy when the academy awards come around but then again every one has a difference in opinion .

I really never had the intention of seeing this Musical until the sequel was released. It was quite entertaining! Very well done. Loved the set, the music and the cast. Pierce Brosnan is not a singing and was 'OK'. Meryl Streep was super! I was quite surprised at her performance. It's definitely a chic flick and was fun to watch with my wife and daughter.

I was a little kid when abba hit the scene, so I only remember bits & pieces, but I rediscovered them in the mid-to-late '80s, and have loved them ever since. Add amanda seyfred singing their songs & a very vivid blu-ray picture (I've seen the dvd, and was impressed how much better this was: the water/ beaches looked better, the night scenes were clearer—the colors were generally more vivid.) Not my favorite movie musical where the actors actually sang (that was Across The Universe [beatles]), but this would be up there on my list!

I first saw this title as a live musical in Las Vegas. I'm not the type that's into "musical theatre", but being a fan of 70s music... you can't go wrong with the timeless classic of ABBA. A great date movie, or family movie, it's just one of those "feel good" types of movies that appeal to a wide audience. ---- Just get it! The Blu-ray is awesome... clear and crisp!

I regularly watch my DVD, so I was happy to replace it with the upodated 109 year anniversary edition. Why not? MAMMA MIA was fun on the stage and great fun on screen, and all those ABBA songs!!!! They will never ever be forgotten, and neither will this silly and unforgettable musical motion picture. ABBA ALWAYS!!!!!

I mentioned the same in a review for the sequel. I didn't watch it. I bought it for the wife and kids and they absolutely love these Abba musicals. It was the centerpiece for a couple of sleep over parties for the girls and a lot of goofy sing and dance alongs. If they're happy, I'm happy.

I purchased this movie on dvd when it was first released. Since then I switched to bluray and digital. So I was thourghly happy when I came across this anniversary edition. I highly recommend this movie. When I need a pick me up day, I pop this in and the smile toe tapping and singing begin.

Mamma Mia! is a great comedy/musical. I saw it for the first time several years ago, and just had to get a copy when it was on sale on Blu-Ray. The acting is wonderful, the songs are catchy, and the scenery is beautiful. It is much better than the second Mamma Mia! movie, in my opinion.

I do not watch a lot of movies or musicals. However this one is fun when I have folks over. Today's young people seem to like the ABBA songs as much as most of us did when they were the big hits. The music is very catching and I saw that most people seemed to be caught up with beat and rythym of this production. Keep up the good offers that this was.
