Just bought this cd for one song like always with cds

It's been a long time coming. The album has some solid songs but some are a bit dull. If you're a long time fan you might enjoy it, but for new fans they might be asking what all the hype was about!

I am a big Garth Brooks fan and have anxiously awaited his return to the country music scene. This CD does not disappoint. If you are a fan there are a number of songs that remind me of his earlier stuff, and you can hear the influences he has often sighted in the music (Billy Joel, James Taylor, the Eagles et al) There are a couple of tracks that I am not crazy about, but that is true with any album I think. I am sure that the more I listen to them, they will grow on me. Welcome back, Garth, and thanks.

Garth sounds like he's trying to reinvent himself and he doesn't need to. He's Garth...just play some country.

If you've already got a lot of Garth's albums like me, then this one is worth adding to your collection. Since the first single released, "People Loving People", I was sure I wanted to get this album when released. I was not displeased with any tracks on the album. With tracks like "All-American Kid", "Mom", and "She's Tired of Boys" and the title track, "Man Against Macine", there's something for everyone on this Garth album.

Boring album, I was very excited to hear this but was disappointed. A few good songs gets the 3 stars but nothing memorable.

Garth sells out arenas after being away from the scene for years. His presence on stage and his love for the craft of entertainment go beyond creativity. You can feel his personal emotions in each track on this latest offering. Truth be told, "Mom" is a bit sappy for my taste and the severely honky tonk twangy offering are turn offs but overall I would rate this 5 star.

The first song is all classic Garth with an up beat bass line and a catchy corus. However after that the pace slows down to a crawl and the rest of the album wants to put you to sleep. There are some other good songs but was hoping for a greater mix since the man has been gone for 10 years. Would still tell true fans of Garth to get this for the collection.
