This was a very depressing movie. It was slow to get to the point.

With Awards received expected more. Wouldn't watch a second time.

Manchester By The Sea is good movie, a tad overrated though.

I was disappointed that it moved so slowly that I lost interest. There were too many F words that were not needed in the script. Felt like it was scripted by a teenager. I had hoped for more because of the advertising. Way to dreary a film to watch and not be depressed.

Affleck's performance was expressionless and depressing.

Don't see what the academy awards saw in this movie. I don't see acting, I see the actor being his grumpy self. So much dialog and just staring at each other with nothing being said. Didn't like the movie. Glad I didn't spend big money on going to the theater.

There was so much hype about this movie and I couldn't wait until I could buy it. I bought it, watched it, and I really don't understand all the hype! It was very slow moving and the ending was horrible!!! Was a waste of money!

It was a good story but the back & forth from the present to the past made it confusing. Only until I watched it with my mom that I had to explain to her what was happening as far a he is remebering the past.

I don't understand what all the hoopla and raves were about when it was released. I just found it depressing, and it seemed to be unresolved when it ended. Not a movie that I would want to watch again.

Gloomy with a capital G. I just don't get what all the hype was about. The best performance in my opinion was that of actor who played the son. I was disappointed.
