Overall not a bad movie. You get a great history lesson in an entertaining package for the most part. There are a few places where it drags, and it's not as memorable as other movies, but it was good.

If you want to watch a pretty accurate movie on the life of Nelson Mandela this is probably the one you want. The cinematography is Good and you just can't go wrong with Morgan Freeman

This movie shows the history of South Africa and how blacks were treated in those days. Nelson Mandela over came the prejudice leadership to become president of South Africa. From the bottom to the top, what a story. Must see...

I was not fund of the story and writing. It was way too subjective and biased. The acting was good, but, not impressed with the directing and writing.

Could have been better, but overall a good movie. Was able to learn a little more about Mandela through this movie. R.I.P Mediba.

First of all I love true stories, and this one was well done.Althrough this movie was almost 3 hours long, you never got bored. At the end it leaves you wanting more.

Idris Elba, who is a great actor more than does justice to the title role. The story it tells is of Mandela the man.

I'm glad I was able to get this movie on sale. Theater tickets, and DVR are excessive. I enjoy having my personal copy to watch as often as I'd like.
