This is a very simple tripod to use and since I'm a beginner to using one, and don't like to fuss around with anything much anyway, this tripod works great. I have a Canon tsi5 and use longer length lenses up to 300mm. It has held them fine, however, I do put one of the legs right in front under the lens just to ensure stability. It is lightweight and quick to set up.

I was looking for a good value tripod for a spotting scope. Tripod is stable and highly adjustable. The head is as what would be expected for a “value tripod”

I purchased this when my other one broke, I love the adjustability of this model and it is light enough you don't feel weighed down on hike or packing it around on a trip.

We use this tripod at our local church to record the services. It is very sturdy and does the job well. It hooks into the camera very easily and it is easy to operate.

Light compact. Sturdy. People complain about the ball joint wearing out. But just be sure to loosen the ball joint before panning it around.

Light weight design, yet very sturdy when the legs are all the way out. We use ours for location shoots where we can't transport a heavier tripod.

I like the quick release catch and the roll ball adjustment but overall the stand is too flimsy the legs if extended fully are really thin and therefore I have to lower the stand to allow for stability.its ok for 60 bucks but there are better stands out there that you don't pay for the name. Higher end I am sure Manfrotto are great but it's budget model doesn't cut it. It will do for inside jobs but not outside in case of wind or knocking over. Either pay more or look at the after market models.

This is a quality item, and although I have a more expensive tripod and a less expensive one, this one falls in the middle. I like the fact that the button where you hook the camera comes off easily and can stay on your camera and then you just put it back easily whereas with my other tripods i have to place the camera on top of the tripod and then proceed to screw it in and out. So I am very happy with this tripod plus it is light and easy to adjust the height. It comes in a black bag and retails for $70 ($74 with tax) and I got it at bestbuy.

I was still using my old tripod that I bought in 1967 and figured it was time to enter the 21st century with Manfrotto. This thing is so much lighter and versatile than my old steel monster. What was I thinking to keep it so long? Also love the pistol grip and how you can reverse the center pole for low shots. Many complain about its instability at full extension but that's the trade off you get when you want lightness and portability. I'll just not extend it to its tallest setting.

I just wanted a cheap tripod that was decent to use. This fit the bill. It is decently sturdy and pretty light. If you wanted to do some long exposures I'd suggest hanging a bag of beans or sand to make it heavier. I don't think it would make a good video mount since it doesn't swivel all that smoothly. Also I'm not a fan of the button mount, makes me nervous it is gonna drop my expensive camera.
