Customers are saying

Customers regard the 60" Tripod favorably for its ease of use, lightweight design, compact size, and affordable price. Many appreciate its quick release feature and portability, making it ideal for travel. However, some users express concerns about stability, particularly when fully extended, and find the ball head's performance and panning capabilities less than ideal. Improvements to the tripod's sturdiness and the smoothness of its panning mechanism are suggested by some users.

This is a quality item, and although I have a more expensive tripod and a less expensive one, this one falls in the middle. I like the fact that the button where you hook the camera comes off easily and can stay on your camera and then you just put it back easily whereas with my other tripods i have to place the camera on top of the tripod and then proceed to screw it in and out. So I am very happy with this tripod plus it is light and easy to adjust the height. It comes in a black bag and retails for $70 ($74 with tax) and I got it at bestbuy.

Good lightweight tripod for travel, light cameras

Very inexpensive for a big-name Manfrotto tripod, very pretty, very well made, and well designed (with a couple of caveats). Yes, I read all the BestBuy reviews, most are glowing, and it was on sale, so the price was right. It's an excellent tripod for travel and for use with a lightish camera, up to maybe a medium DSLR with a medium telephoto. The pistol grip with friction wheel ballhead works very well, it's fast and holds tight. Caveats: This is a VERY lightweight tripod, so the legs are thin and whippy. The 60-inch max height sounds tall, but in practice it's barely adequate for most purposes. It uses an unusual non-standard quick-release design, a small button that fits in a well on the platform and a cam locks it in place. Pro: The button is small enough to simply leave on your camera, and it's fast in use. Con: Small enough to lose easily, and you only get one, so you'd have to order a replacement from Manfrotto (or a camera store). BestBuy doesn't carry them separately. Also, this tripod makes a great light stand, but many things you might want to use on it (lights, microphones, flash frames, umbrellas, etc.) won't work well with that tiny quick-release button. So: 4 stars out of 5, but remember it's LIGHT, repeat LIGHT, and don't lose that button.

What caught my eye when searching for a full size tripod was the pistol grip-handle with thumb release control.Makes quick change and lock a snap.Windy days are somewhat a problem. The thin,light-weight legs seem to flex too much when wind blows 10-15 mph making shooting a little difficult. But you can carry it all day with no hassle,it's a trade-off.

This tripod is very compact and strong for its size. Its doesn't weigh much and can mount an action cam, camcorder or dslr. But I will only use it for and action cam because mounting a DSLR or small mirrorless camera has been unstable. Get a monopod instead

This is a wonderful tripod! The ball head and trigger style handle make it so easy to adjust. The camera fits snugly on the tripod using Manfrotto's exclusive camera mount, which can stay on your camera at all times. It has a snug fit and doesn't work loose like some of the quick release tripod mounts I have used. The trigger handle has a thumb wheel to adjust and tighten. This is quick and easy to use! The ball head is pretty smooth, and you can adjust the head for video panning or all around still shots. The leg extensions are the clip type, not the screw type. They are quick and easy to extend and retract. I prefer these over the screw type. This tripod folds up to a small enough size to easily fit into a carry-on suitcase for air travel. I have used this tripod for night sky photography, landscape photography and portrait photography, all with excellent results. A best buy, in my opinion!!

It is lightweight, has a simple design, and its intuitive. I don't use it for movies because I don't have a movie camera, but I know that it wiorks great for people that have videos - because it's what it's meant to do... I noticed it swivels smoothly.

Needed a tripod in a pinch for the Albuquerque balloon festival. Tripod is sturdy enough and still lightweight. Definitely to flimsy for a mark and huge lens but works fine for my wife's 70d. She loves the pistol grip now that she got the hang of it. Not a bad purchase overall. Will still need a more robust tripod for her telephoto but that's to be expected.

I haven't had much of an opportunity to use my new tripod. However, on the few occasions I've used it, I've found it to be easy to use, sturdy and well constructed. It is definitely superior than my previous tripod which was made by another company and did not hold up well at all. I'm looking forward to using the new tripod as the weather warms up.

I used many tripods, from professionals to cheap ones. This is one got its pros and cons two like any other. But is the best for when you are on the go. Putting it back in the bag and taking it out is a pain, but overall does the job. Is NO Good if you want to do pans or tilts since it doesn't have a fluid ball head. But is has a good pistol grip and the locking wheel is ok not the best. Overall Good not the best, but for the price and from Manfrotto is a good tripod. Other thing I like is that is really small and lightweight too.

I purchased this tripod so that I would be able to record AND enjoy my sons football games. This tripod eliminated having to watch 'jumping screens' and missed touchdowns due to my obnoxious parent/fan outbursts! It is lightweight, easy to manage, and the travel case is a plus!

Had trouble getting good photos over 2 seconds, tripod not sturdy enough. My Sony A7ii with 24-70 may be a little too heavy for it. But, I like the design, and it is small, compact, and light, easy to carry and use. I was taking photos near a waterfalls, maybe too much vibration.

This tripod is very lightweight yet still is strong for a small video camera. It is also very easy to use. It even comes with its own bag, which we didnt realize til we got home and opened the box. The legs of the tripod are very easy to expand for various heights.

After figuring out how everything works, this tripod dominates all others. the pistol grip with thumb lock makes it easy to moveyour hot around. Also, it folds down smaller than others of the same height, and it comes with a carry case.

I was still using my old tripod that I bought in 1967 and figured it was time to enter the 21st century with Manfrotto. This thing is so much lighter and versatile than my old steel monster. What was I thinking to keep it so long? Also love the pistol grip and how you can reverse the center pole for low shots. Many complain about its instability at full extension but that's the trade off you get when you want lightness and portability. I'll just not extend it to its tallest setting.
