Not too heavy. Easy to collapse and expand for quick set up. Ball joint is easy to use, locks tightly, and makes it nice for quick leveling on uneven surfaces. Didn't come with a bag which is surprising because of the cost. Wouldn't mind paying more for a bag with the tripod but I don't want to go looking for one. Overall very sturdy and can be expanded pretty high up. Primary use for me: Green screen portraits.

    Best tripod in store

This tripod is a tank. I started getting full-frame cameras and they weigh a bit more and are more expensive. Believe me, I wanted to mount mine on a good tripod. Well, this is it! This tripod makes me feel like my camera is safe, and for super telephoto lenses, believe me, you need this kind of tripod!

I been using for a few months, very happy with a strong and steady mount for my setup, the ball head is great, making it very easy to move trying to catch birds, the only downside is it doesn't hold the camera on level like a gimble, next wish list item

i previously got the 290 tripod, as this is the 190 ,, and both came with the same ball head .. the 290 was my first time using ball head and prefer it for the ease to move-swivel the camera .. both tripods and ball head will hold my 8 lb setup with no problems.. and got the 190 as backup when it went on sale. so far, happy with purchase .. another plus for me is the camera can be adjusted up to my eye level where i am 6' tall with both tripods which is the main reason for getting these ...

    Lightweight but Stable

This tripod really exceeded my expectations. It's lightweight and seems less sturdy compared to more expensive 055 series, but it held my Canon 5D MkIV with 70-200 f/2.8L II lens with ease and produced some amazing 20 sec to 2 min long exposures, without a hint of blur. The ballhead is fairly basic, but does the job. The biggest con for the ballhead is that there's no panoramic knob, but for the money it's really good. If you need a light but stable full-size hiking tripod, you can't go wrong with this set.

I got this tripod to replace a heavier bulkier Calumet brand tripod I have hated since I got it and it finally broke. I am glad to retire that one. My mentor cinematographer photographer KMS used it to shoot video and a friend used it for video before I used it for still photography. Its a ball head tripod and I was pretty intuitive to operate. Manfrotto has a great reputation as I have Flashes from Metz that have better color than Canon brand flashes. I want to get a pistol grip for this tripod and I think I will just totally love it. This is a good price to and I think they will stand behind their product better than Calumet did.

The tripod is very solid, not so heavy to handle. I record videos for my channel on youtube and I can move it without problems, moving the head of the tripod to focus is very easy. You just get used to using it. It has a very good height to record, zoom in or out of the targets that I want to record. Good material . Durable. I want to buy another one. It has good support and gives security to support my camera: it weighs 7 pounds.

I was looking to upgrade to a more sturdy tripod with a ball head. This Manfrotto filled the bill nicely. While this tripod is not, top of the line, it does preform very nicely in all conditions. Cam locks on the extendable legs are very good and the ball head does its job without much effort at all. I have used this tripod in all types of weather and have yet to experience any issues with it. Does everything I need it to do.

i really like this and is my 2nd one with a ball head that i have .. but once i got a bigger zoom lens that puts the weight up to 13 lbs and up ,, there is a lot of shake and you need to hold it down to shoot .. or use a remote shutter .. otherwise ,, i have been using it all the time that i need or want to use the tripod .. for the price you pay ,, this is a very nice tripod ... if you want better you need to take a lot more out of your pockets ..

Although I am just an amateur photographer I have extensive experience from my time as an Evidence Detective at the San Antonio Police Department in the 80's. I use various Nikon cameras and with certain zoom lenses I need a stable and safe platform. Manfrotto fits the requirements completely! Sturdy, easy to set up, easy to use. Manfrotto is the choice of many professionals also. Great product at a great price!

This tripod is solid as a rock. I wouldn't recommend it for traveling purposes but if you are looking for a solid tripod with great flexible for additional heads. One downside for the price , the tripod should come with a bag for traveling but otherwise I don't have any complaints about this tripod.

This is a great go to tripod, it gets the job done and it looks good feels very premium and professional for the price. Well I think I caught this with a price match steel, so I paid much less than I think Best Buy was asking for it off sale.

I bought this as a gift for my wife. This is a very solid tripod. I really like that the release for the camera has a little button so the lever to remove the camera cannot be accidentally bumped and your camera won't fall.
