    Sturdy Tripod

This is a sturdy tripod. The tripod has a nice solid feel to it as opposed to light cheap plastic. I use it with my Nikon D7200. It has a ball swivel which can be locked down or loosened. When loose you can adjust the camera while mounted moving up/down or right/left with ease. There is a groove where the camera can be adjusted to face at a 90 degree angle facing down. The tripod legs telescope up/down to either extend or retract. The legs are locked down with a simple twist/pressure screw like clamp. Its a little heavy but still portable. The tripod does not have a level on it and I do find it rather difficult get the legs to be equally extended outward in triangle or the ball swivel to be flush. Its probably because it is a ball swivel type tripod. I would recommend this tripod to any camera user and I believe that it is a high quality product that will last a long time.

Great travel tripod, if you don't need panning.

This is a very sturdy tripod with excellent build quality. Setting up and tearing down of the tripod can be done in under one minute. The ball head locks pefectly in any position without issues. But, when making the adjustments you have to hold the camera before loosening the knob. Otherwise camera could drop 90 degrees from vertical. This tripod lacks separate locks for horizontal and vertical motion. So you cannot use it for panning. This makes it very difficult to lock your focus and recompose your shot. If you don't care about panning, then this tripod is definitely worth it's price.

I have tried out the Befree Tripod with my SONY Nex-6 and it works well. They both fit in a wildlife watcher backpack from Bean along with my birding gear: spotting scope, binoculars, and books to go hiking with the long desired goal of photographing birds, other wildlife and landscapes. My spotting scope is big and heavy, but the Befree holds it fairly well. It probably wouldn't do in windy conditions, but then that's not what the tripod is designed for. All in all I'm very happy.

I bought this to replace another Manfrotto Compact tripod. because the legs are able to fold up over the tripod head it fits into a small bag which can easily be put in a back pack or luggage. If feels really durable when not fully extended. The other great thing is the head easily unscrews and I can put a larger head on it which gives me better control while using it without having to lug a heavier tripod around. I'm not super crazy about the quick release mechanism but I ordered a different quick release socket to replace it with.

Manfrotto BeFree tripod is a great tripod for individuals on the road. Very compact and light. It can easily support the weight of my D7000. Overall, a great tripod with good value. Only downside is the carrying case is of poor quality and the tripod does not have a level so you can not tell if the camera is off tilt.

I have recently gotten very serious about my photography career. I decided it was about time to upgrade to a solid, sturdy, and reliable tripod. It is so nice. It is lightweight and easy for me to carry around. I don't have to struggle with opening it. It is a breeze to change from landscape to portrait and the biggest reason I decided to purchase this one was because it allows me to remove my camera in a second off of the tripod. I don't have to struggle with twisting this or screwing that off it just clicks right out.

This is a very light and compact tripod. It comes with a convenient case to put it in when transporting (I wish there was a small zippered compartment in the case to keep an extra quick release and tools though). Each leg has a two position adjustment for angle lock, and three telescoping sections secured by latch-style clamps. These features enable you to quickly and securely get the tripod setup for shooting. Since it is light and compact, with the legs fully extended it does require a little manual intervention (i.e a heavy hand below the head attachment) to stabilize when panning and tilting. If used for still photography in low light / slow shutter speeds, you may want to consider a remote shutter release when using with the legs fully extended.. My primary use for the tripod is to shoot video at kids sporting events. I am using a Nikon D500 w/ battery grip and a telephoto lens. The tripod easily handled the weight of the camera, grip, and lens. Note: the included ball mount is intended for still photography; I attached a separately purchased Manfrotto fluid video head. This tripod gets high marks in both the compact and light categories (making it ideal for transporting/travel), although the trade-off is a bit less stability than a traditional cross-braced tripod.

I bought this as I seldomly use a tripod for any of my work. The kit is sturdy and easy to manipulate. The tripod is light and easily fits into my carry gear. My only real complaint is that it doe not extend as high as my eye with the camera on the mount. I wish it were a little taller for portrait shooting, but this isn't a huge ordeal. Great travel accessory.

I have used Manfrotto products for years and did not hesitate to buy this product following my review of it at their site. This company has built quality products for years and this perfectly portable tripod is no exception. It supports an eight pound camera and is very compact. It also comes with a carry bag which is a nice bonus.

Compact, lightweight, sturdy and comes with a case. Nice feature of a plate that connects to your camera with a few turns and then clips to the tripod. Manfrotto is what the pros use and this lighter version is terrific.

I bought this product for my wife for Christmas, and the moment she took the wrapping paper off she started to cry. She absolutely adores this tripod, I think it's absolutely awesome with the flip feature it has for picture taking and for storage.

Folds down nicely to an easy to pack size. Easy to adjust and set up and holds a lot. A little heavier than I had hoped, but didn't want to spend the extra money for carbon.

I recently had to replace my tripod because it broke. I decided to try this one and am so much happier with it. It folds up more compact, is sturdier, and the ball head is so much better than the cheaper tripod I had. Very much worth the money.
