Customers commend the Compact Action Smart 61" Tripod for its sturdiness, lightweight design, and affordability, finding it ideal for travel due to its compact size and compatibility with various devices. However, some users experienced challenges with the panning feature, the lack of a built-in level, and the phone holder's stability. Bought to use with my iPhone 11 Pro plus. I video my sons playing football from the stands and this adjusts to the different levels easily. No jerky movements when I move left to right tracking their plays.
Light weight and small enough to carry in a small bag that Comes with It.

Great product and relatively light. Though I wish it were a bit shorter when folded. I think the handle made it a bit bulky. I could deal with just the ball. But for the price, I think it’s pretty decent considering it’s a name brand. The tripod itself seems very sturdy for a mirror less camera.

This tripod is very sturdy. I bought it a couple of months ago and I use it for my Nikon camera. It’s perfect and my hubby has been using it for his phone. Needless to say, I will be buying him his own. He really loves this tripod and asked me about it. It’s such a great quality and the price is reasonable. I love it!

This tripod has exceeded my expectations! It’s easy to carry around with the bag that it comes with. There is a phone holder included so I mainly use this tripod to take timed photos of me and family/friends so I don’t have to ask anyone when we’re out. It can hold my DSLR camera and my camcorder.. it’s such a breeze to adjust with the dial/adjuster.. and it’s great quality!
I had to replace my previous tripod and upgraded to this.. and all I can say are great things! No cons at all! It’s a must have! Invest in this for sure!

For the money, this tripod will be hard to beat. The pistol-grip ball head is easy to use. Also, it has a "video" switch that, when activated, keeps your camera in a landscape orientation. Or just turn it off for portrait mode shots. It is plenty tall enough, and just barely over two pounds. The lever-lock legs are quicker than the tripods with twist-lock legs. There are only three disadvantages. The first is that the leg angle is fixed. You cannot splay the legs way out like you can with more professional tripods. The second is that there is no hook at the bottom of the center column to hang weights off of. The final drawback is that this cannot convert into a monopod like some tripods can. Other than that, this is a great aluminum pod!

This is a very light, very compact tripod that can fit into a small backpack and exceptional value. Not sure if it will support a heavy camera with a heavy lens, but it works great with my Nikon D5600

This is the 2nd one I bought. The first one was 2 years ago, and my oldest son use it every day, so I needed one for me and my new Nikon Z50. The plate for the iPhone is a great feature. Well-built, sturdy and light, this one rocks!

This tripod is very light and provides stability in many outdoor situations. You will sacrifice stability with this model. The legs flex when fully extended and can let tripod bounce in the wind or if you have a heavy hand pushing shutter. This has only affected my shot once since I’m typically working in favorable weather conditions. A remote is recommended.

Great tripod, very secure and stable and light for the size. If you are using a flip camcorder it will need a little extra support on the mount, and I ordered additional buttons so I could just keep one on each device tprather than putting them on each one as I mounted it.

This tripod is light weight , sturdy, and extremely easy to use.
Going from your traditional tripod where you have to use 2-3 nobs to move around, to this Manfrotto tripod, has been a day and night experience.
This tripod is not only great for photographers, but it works great for cinematography as well!

I couldn't be happier with this tripod. I use it with my iphone to record while I do my photography sessions and it does a great job holding it. It is steady and it doesnt weight too much which is even good for me since I carry a lot od things. I highly recommend it!

Great tripod! Very sturdy! Easy to navigate! Came with a free holder for a smartphone which was definitely a plus. I like that it was light & easily transported unlike my other Sunpak tripod which was extremely heavy.

I've been a pro photographer for over 40 years, and obviously I've used tons of professional tripods. I needed one that wouldn't break my back lugging it around for hours. This one is light, sturdy as a rock, and has great, tough hardware. Pistol grip took a little getting use to, but now I love it. It's smooth, fast and holds my Nikon D750 with heavy pro nikon 80-200 steady. The cell phone holder was included, and though I had no plans to use it because I was a "Pro Equipment Snob" I've had to eat my words! It's a great addition to my arsenal. Bottom line, Buy It! It's a Manfrotto, a company that I've always relied on professionally, and " Manfrotto don't make no junk!"

Swivel head is not accurate and not removable

The head adjustment is very finicky. It is designed to only be adjusted from behind. I do a lot of solo work where I am in front of the camera adjusting it and when you loosen the head to adjust the position in one direction, it looses all settings in the other positions because it's a 360 ball instead of individual horizontal, vertical, and tilt, adjustments.
Also, I am shocked that the head is not removable. Most tripods consist of legs and a head, and you can unscrew the head to replace it with another one. Not this tripod. The head does not come off so you are stuck with the 360 "swivel and hope you got it right" head.
I gave it 4 stars because it is sturdy quality that you come to expect from Manfrotto, and perhaps I am in the minority trying to adjust it from in front of the camera, but the head is really hard to get pointing in the right direction because small adjustments are not possible standing in front of it.

There are so many tripods out there and it really is hard to find the right one for the job you want it to do. This is a great tripod for the value, very light weight and sturdy. It is great for any job, but mainly the portability and sturdiness for the price.

Very creative, space saving tripod design. I found the mobile phone holder a little wobbly, but the tripod itself was sturdy and could become very compact and travel well, while still extending full size, and very tall.

I bought this just before a trip and am glad I did! It was a bit heavier than I expected, but not difficult to strap to my pack for hiking. I am used to tripods with 3 leg sections so having 12 things to undo takes a bit of getting used to. My only worry is that I will lose the little knob some day.
It is otherwise pretty solid and I love the extra adjustability in the head. I didn't have a need to extend the center section so my review is based on the stability with just the legs fully extended.
I gave it 4 stars on ease of use simply because the directions were SO SMALL that I had to find them online to blow them up, and it still took awhile to figure out the knob.
