This tripod was a pleasant surprise in quality. I purchased three as I use them for triggered lighting with hot shoes and the tripods are able to perform in different environments. As a photographer, I do not travel without one as I keep this particular piece of equipment with me. Coming with its own carrying case, this tripod breaksdown and is able to be carried inside of most backpacks.

In two words: Excellent and economical. You honestly cannot go wrong with this tripod. It gets the job done and wasn’t nearly as expensive as some of the others… whose reviews weren’t all that great but I didn’t buy those I bought this one. And I am very pleased with my purchase!

This thing is worth the money. I had previously bought a cheap $20 dollar tripod and the difference is definitely noticeable. Very sturdy, versatile and even has a nice little quick release that screws on to the bottom of your camera for quick mounting. Would recommend so far!

My 15+ years old Sony-branded tripod broke so I was in the market for a tripod that allows me to pan easily for kids' video recordings. This is the best overall for the price (I got it for $59.99). The handle to rotate/pan the tripod head is nicely designed. It offers a great degree of rotation angle freedom. However note that it actually doesn't offer a way lock the x-axis, to pan perfectly horizontally. This can be a deal breaker for some. The materials are decent. It obviously is not as good as top-tier tripods. The tripod legs are sturdy. The tripod head is a little plasticky IMO. It also comes with a mobile adapter which is perfect, most folks these days do their photography/videos exclusively on phones. But the adapter can be a stretch for some of the biggest phones. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and with the case on, it is a tight fit. So be gentle with the adapter, since you may have read that it may break under extreme pressure. If Best Buy offers this $59.99 again, I would recommend it! Just set your expectations right.

Bottom Line: The Manfrotto Compact Action Smart Tripod is designed and priced well for its target audience of beginners/novices to photography. Pros: lightweight, adjustability, ease of use, includes phone attachment Cons: might not be stable enough for some uses Review: After considering several options, I purchased the Manfrotto Action Tripod to record videos for YouTube with an entry-level DSLR camera. The legs of the tripod can be extended at various lengths, and you can fine tune the height as needed very easily with the adjustable head. The head can also be tilted (forward/backward, sideways), so you'll always be able to frame your perfect shot. The quick mount system is an excellent feature, so you can mount and unmount your camera in a matter of seconds. The tripod also comes with a carrying case and phone attachment, although the latter has a stiff spring that makes it difficult to open wide enough for my iPhone X. For my home office, the tripod is very sturdy. I leave the camera on it basically 24/7 and move the whole setup around as needed. However, the tripod is lightweight and the legs are pretty thin at the bottom when extended, so I'd be a bit weary about using this outside on uneven surfaces.

Great Tripod for the money. The legs are a little thin and it sometimes requires adjustments to position the feet (legs slide off balance over time) but I use this to mount our camera for zoom classes at a martial arts studio so it stays out most of the time. I love the ability to swap out the mounts for phone holder or standard cold shoe, and the grip handle makes angle adjustments a snap.

This is my first tripod so I don't have anything to compare it to. So far, I really like this model. It is really easy to use. It has multiple levels of height so I can use it sitting or standing. It fits both my birding scope and camera. Very east to move around the mounted device. I've only had it a short while so I can't speak to its longevity.

this works for well for still shots as well as movies/videos. There is a feature that allows the camera to pan effortlessly if you want to make a movie. It took a little practice to get it to operate smoothly without allowing the camera to flop down (from its weight), but now it works great.

My old tripod broke and needed to replace it. I found this I've at Best Buy at an affordable price. It works great, adjusts to multiple heights and angles and light enough to keep you camera attached and carry around. My only complaint is sometimes when you tighten the wheel to lock the head in position, it moves slightly.
