Although not as powerful as a dedicated flash, these little lights are perfect for slight accenting. I bought the 3, 5 and 8 LED versions specifically for macro work and the are excellent. I have included a photo as example.

I bought this as a small pocket-sized video light for filming YouTube videos in the field, and it works very well at this, with a couple of caveats. PRO: It's very bright for its size and it's REALLY small, you can shove it in a pocket in case you need it and it takes up almost no room in a camera bag, or on your camera. It has three brightness levels. It's well made out of metal alloy and won't shatter if it's dropped (so far). The included filters are nice, but I only use the diffuser. It charges from any cellphone charger. CON: No removable battery, so when it's dead you need to plug it in and it takes several hours for a full charge. The built-in battery is necessarily small (the entire thing is small), so it doesn't last that long, about 2 hours at full brightness, at most. But if you're filming 5-10 minute video clips now and then and you remember to keep turning it on and off between clips, it *might* last all evening. I've found it very useful, but I always have another LED light with replaceable AA batteries too. BEST FEATURES: Very small, bright, easy to put in a pocket.

I mainly use this as a continuous light instead of flash in busy nighttime photos. It allows me to get a fstop or 2 back so I can choose to lower my ISO and/or raise my shutter. Also flashes tend to grind on surrounding potential customers especially when cell phone flashes are going off as well so I don't have to compete w/ them using portable continuous lighting.

I've bought several different photo/video lights and this is the best one I've tried yet! It works great & allows you to take great photos and videos in all light settings. I love the 3 different filter options. Long battery life and quick recharge.

This light is pretty powerful for its size. Although it is not enough for a night shot through a diffuser. Small and sturdy would be great for catch light or hair light.

Works as advertised. Compact and bright. my only con would be the battery life is iffy and you can't charge it while using it.

I'm a makeup artist and I love this product! Works great on my Note 5. My before and after pictures look more professional now when I am using my phone camera. My co-worker suggested this product to me and she is a stylist. Takes great pictures without using a professional camera. :)

Waiting on my el gato key lights to come in but in the meantime I’ve just put this little light on top of my monitor and bam what a difference this little addition makes! I film on a canon and believe me it’s night and day what this thing can offer you when filming.

I’m the type of person that prefers not to use flash but sometimes need more lighting especially when shooting family gatherings indoors so I find this little portable light to be very handy. I can pop it on and off of my camera and position it where I need it at ease.

This is a great addition to your camera bag. If you do any kind of video with your DSLR or Mirrorless camera this is a great light to have. The internal battery gives me about 2.5 hours (real world test) at full power and even using it during the day will give you some really nice catchlights in the eyes. It's a great powerful light in a very small package.

I bought this to help with my macro photography. Have yet to use it outside, but I’m sure it will help in the forest.
