    I was in between Pioneer and Marantz. After reviewing everything went with Marantz. Its an amazing picture and sound quality.

    So, replaced my perfectly functional 10 year old receiver Sony 777es to try something new with sound calibration. I bought this unit at back in October with the ud7007 DVD/CD player from Magnolia. Figured, I would buy Marantz's flagship receiver and DVD player. Easy setup, sounded great...problem came about 6 months later when it would go into power protection mode randomly. Spent 2 weeks with Marantz support trying the basic things...(venting, speaker cables, moving power source, resetting unit, etc), but it only got worse over time. Now it will not stay on for more than 10 minutes. Fine...something's wrong with it so I call best buy who states that they can't do anything about it..and to call Marantz and have them deal with it. Fine. Call their support line who states I need to bring it in to a repair center. Ok. Fine. Problem is there is only one certified repair center in the entire Bay Area and it is in far away Redwood City. I call them and they say they are 1 month + out for future appointments...did I mention I live in San Francisco. How is there only one Marantz repair center anywhere loosely near this major city??? I call Marantz and they say it is out if their hands and that I need to wait or ship it out to Los Angeles at my cost. So I shipped it out Fedex today for $75 and the repair center will charge me another $75 to diagnose. Actual repair and parts under warranty (thank god)! Oh yeah...did I mention it's their flagship receiver and 6 months old.....so now I'm back to using my 10 year old Sony es until they figure out what is wrong with the Marantz. Really disappointed in Marantz and best buy/magnolia for not stepping up especially after purchasing ~$3500 in higher end equipment from them on a single day. Oh well...lesson learned. Will head back to the local specialty store for future purchases and they will not be Marantz. True story!

    THIS REALY IS THE BEST STEREO THAT I EVER OWENED EVER ITS SOUND IS AWESOM ITS VIDEO IS AWESOM AS WELL AND THE LOOKS IS GOOD
