This preamp interfaces well with my amplified studio monitors, clear sound, I like I that I can now enjoy HD radio stations, interfaces easily with an iPod and has a nicely laid out remote. I will note I do still need to go through the owners manual cd, so I can use it to its full potential.

All I can say is WOW!! Long time AV receiver guy that decided to make the jump to separates because I could not find receivers that could deliver suitable power levels for my needs. Let me start by saying this is a PREAMP so it has zero power, it must be paired with a power amp or amps via the balanced or unbalanced outputs. I paired mine with the Emotiva XPA-5 delivering 200W into 8 ohms from 20-20k with less that 0.05% THD. Good luck finding those specs in any receiver. Now lets talk about connectivity. HDMI 7 in/ 3 out, Tons more if you use them, not me. 4k upscaling and pass through when I decide to upgrade my 70". 7.2 running Polk Monitor 70 II, Definitive Tech center channel and Sony surround. Flawless audio quality, great sound stage, even pulled out some DVD-Audio disks to test. AWESOME. Movies are great, I'm running dual subs, Martin Logan Dynamax 500 front and Yamaha YST216 rear. I don't normally right such wordy reviews but this thing rocks. Oh almost forgot, because it has no power amp it remains extremely cool, which should prolong the life of the expensive components.
