I love this AVR! The only downside is learning all the configurations. Not difficult but so many options, especially with two zones. Time and experience will take care of this. Home theater is a new experience.

Bought an open box item, was told it was working from display. It must have been a return, only 2 of the possible 7 speakers work. If you are looking at an open box item, make them test it in front of you, don't trust when they tell you it is working.

Was told at store my turntable would work with it and it did not so it was returned.

First I will say I just purchased a pair of definitive 9060 ST towers and an elite AVR.I have only owned pioneers before.Upon initial hook up everything was fine until 2 days later.My elite receiver was cutting out audio and had really bad fluctuations in the audio.Pioneer quality seems to have tanked over the years from my experience.So now for this marantz.This is my first AVR from them and I cannot believe the difference in sound and quality compared too my elite.Marantz gives you a lot more for your money.I also love the low profile of this AVR compared to most other behemoths out there.Since I have powered towers plus ATMOS toppers in a 2.2 config for now this receiver has plenty of power for my needs.I also love the 2 front speaker pre outs should I ever need an amp.My 1000 dollar elite had no pre outs.From what I'm hearing from my marantz now this will be my go-to brand now and into the future.I am highly impressed with this AVR and cannot praise it enough.

I purchased this receiver for my bedroom and it's my second Marantz piece of gear. my other is a Pre-Amp for my HT the AV7702 MKII. this little receiver is a godsend! it is feature rich and takes up very little shelf real estate. it has all the features, Audessy, supports hi-rez audio streaming up to 192/24 & DSD up to 128. it supports iOS & Android controlling is HDMI 2.0a/HDCP 2.2 and supports full 4K video as well as ATMOS & DTS:X audio codec on all HDMI inputs and the HDMI output. it offers plenty of power, but, in case you have a pair of monster sized speakers for 2 channel music for your front L & R, (like I do) it offers a pair of pre-outs for them so you can add an external power amp just to power them like I did! so now, while I'm in bed, I can still enjoy full HD music and HD or UHD movies. it also fits in a small space as it's less than 4" in height. I cannot be happier that I went with Marantz. worth every penny, in fact, it probably should have cost more! Highly Recommended!
