Great for my bedroom. This replaced my other Subwoofer. Caught it on sale. Good quality for the price.

My only complaint is that this receiver does not allow for fine tuning an fm station.

I am pleased with this product. I switched from Pioneer (fantastic company as well) to Marantz after needing greater capability in a Slim Form Factor (SFF). I was unfamiliar with this company before the salesman (not Best Buy) recommended them.
The audio is clean; the Bluetooth/Airplay functions easily; the DAC is quality and the headphone output excellent; easy to setup and manipulate settings; wi-fi security measures; no distracting blue lights; clear LCD; and capable A/V processing... all-in-all, I am now a Marantz supporter.
I did get the prior year model on sale (NR1608) so the value $300+ off a year end model. I would wait until you get it on sale - the value is so much greater and the machine is designed with current and high-end features.
I found the menu overlay to be clunky and obtrusive. Perhaps I’m not yet as comfortable since my switch from Pioneer (14+ years?), but I thought the settings functionality and options were a bit limited. But again, I’m moving from the Elite line. The proprietary system setup mic was exceptionally easy to use. The Audyssey software is just as good as the MCACC software, but felt limited relative to what I could see - graphs, detailed statistics, very fine tuning, etcetera. I can’t speak to technical details, but the Audyssey calibration was so easy. It outputs limited test sounds relative to the MCACC system (which did take longer and more varied samples) during calibration, but it takes the samples at different listening positions and calibrates a general zone of listening (Pioneer, I thought, allowed saving of specific position profiles and more targeted listening zones).
In the end, I am very pleased with this receiver. Indeed, I am impressed and was very hesitant to leave Pioneer until an end of year sale came along.

Great receiver for your money , however you will not be able to pair wireless speakers with this unit. But if you need a receiver for your stereo setup, it does the job.

I like the smaller dimensions. Fits my cabinet well, ample HDMI connections, and easily powers my five surround Bose speakers. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

I think this home theater receiver is a little more complicated than we can handle. We have had difficulty using it. However, our son visited and noticed we did not have it set up. He set it up, and made it a lot more usable. I think "we" were the problem.

The power was missing from the unit at time of purchase. Have not found a power for the unit as yet. May have to return the unit if I cannot get a power cord.
