We are very pleased to hear you are happy with your SR6015.
The detailed information pertaining to receiver operation status is best viewed on your TV screen or on your phone app.
Less emphasis was put on the receiver's front panel information display simply because of how many receivers end up in a rack or in a cabinet where their front panel visibility is very restricted at best.

Has broken after 2.5 months

I have a 7.2.1 Dolby atmos setup and it sounded fantastic! Came home and it won’t turn on? I’m in the process of using the 3 yr warranty but their support does not work on weekends and are eastern standard time while I live in the Pacific Northwest.

There is a known issue with the chip and seems everyone knew it but me. This is a very expensive receiver and it is just devastating. Frankly, I think Best Buy should consider refunding my money. It is not their fault. However, my explanation to the salesman of why I was buying it is the beef with them. I was in the Magnolia area of the store and let's just say he was not a very helpful. He did not explain anything about only one 2.1 input or the known chip issue. I have been on the phone and emailing with Marantz. They have no answers at this time, but I honestly believe they will make it right when they have a solution. I will say the unit produces a fantastic surround sound experience and I have never had anything that sounded better. I have had plenty of other high end receivers; they did not reproduce like this one. Very rich, deep, and true. I like it a lot and I really hope they get this problem solved. The longer this goes out the more I grow concerned I will be the proud owner of a very expensive boat anchor. Once the situation is resolved I will modify my review. I really do my research and just didn't come across anything about the chip issue until I specifically entered a chip issue. I was made aware of the issue when I went back to Best Buy to buy a different HDMI cable. I thought that might be the issue. This was a different store; I explained what was happening and he said he was aware of a chip issue.

Posted .We're very sorry for the poor experience so far. I can assure you as a direct Marantz employee we will make this right for you with a solution coming later this year. In the meantime you can still output 4K/120 & 8K with most 8K devices. (PS5, Nvidia video chip sets) There are a few 4K/120 / 8K devices that will not work with the AVR's HDMI chipset, so the only workaround at this time is to connect the 4K/120 / 8K device to the TV directly and then use ARC/eARC to feed the audio track back to the 6015. You can also output that device as 4K/60 and the AVR should have no issue passing it.
