I played this with my boyfriend and I got super mad. On only 100cc. I'm scared to go up any further. But the carts are cute and the characters fun. The tracks are varied and if you get the bundle for extra tracks you'll enjoy it more. Online play is very competitive.

The kids had been waiting for this game to come out for sometime and I must admit, so have I. I was hoping for that old Mario Kart nostalgia that I had when I was a college student with a N64. Get it, you'll have a ton of fun. My kids (son & daughter, 9 and 11) and I have been playing it non-stop in the evening after dinner. It's brought a lot of laughter among us. They especially love making sure I finish behind them... poor dad ;) Now if we can get mom to play with us...

When Mario Kart first came out for the Super Nintendo, the Racing Genre was forever changed; all the Nintendo characters that we came to know and love were put together on one battleground with a variety of power-ups, "weapons," and tracks. While the N64 version continues to be my favorite, the introduction of online play, while holding true to earlier editions of the game has offered an experience unmatched by any other racing game out there! Love this game.

Upgraded from Wii to Wiiu and kids love it. Easy to understand and control and multiplayer lets whole family play.

Mario Kart 8 is probably the best game on Wii U right now. It has 32 tracks that all have great design. The new anti-gravity mechanic is great and really brings all of the pieces together to make this the most fun kart racer I can remember playing. The battle mode isn't all that great, and it's missing a few fan-favorite characters, but the gameplay, tracks, and online tournaments more than make up for that. If you own a Wii U, you should definitely pick up this game.

I have always loved Mario Kart, but this one takes the cake. It is fast paced and thrilling. IGN game a 9 out of 10 and I would say they were spot on. Whether you are new to Mario Kart or a returning vet. you will love and enjoy this game. Its fun solo, but bring some people over and have an old school split screen, action packed, Mountain Dew kind of night like we did when we were younger playing Nintendo 64. My personal rating would be a 9.5 out of 10

this is the best mario kart game to date! it has "next-gen" graphics and gameplay! i love online multiplayer! players online are actually challenging! theres a good roster of drivers of good and evil characters from the super mario series. however, instead of having multiple versions of one character, like super mario and baby mario, they should have taken out baby mario and put in another light weight class character. goomba would have been a good driver choice!

Go upside down, ride on walls! Do it all with the latest Mario Kart. 8 courses, 4 tracks each for 32 tracks of shell throwing, banana slipping fun.Get the DLC for $12 and get 3 new characters and a new course now and another 3 characters and a new course in May(i think i dont remember off the top of my head) and theres a good ammount of new kart pieces with the DLC (triforce wheels are my favorite kart part). Definitely one of the best games out for wii u.

What a way to introduce the Mario Kart world to HD! The graphics are amazing, and the music is both catchy and cool. You only get to hold one item at a time, however, which does make for less item chaos. Overall, it's loads of fun!

I bought this as a family game that we could all play no matter our skill levels. Although my daughter would rather play Mario Maker, we all loved playing this together. It has many options: single player, single online, multi-player. Also there are setups that allowed the game pad of the WiiU to be used as a steering wheel by means of tilting it. Even though it was nearly $60 it was one of the few games we could all play as a family.

Mario Kart 8 is one of the best, if not the very best, entry in the Mario Kart series! The game play is incredibly fun, with many difficulty levels to master and inventive race tracks to explore. The graphics are very sharp - this is easily the best looking game currently available for the Wii U. Also, the soundtrack is beautifully scored and adds a lot to the experience. Overall, this is a fantastic game that is not to be missed! Highly recommended!

I love this game! The graphics are beautiful, the new addition of choosing vehicle customizations is fun. The only problem that I had recently was that the graphics aren't that great once 3 or 4 people are playing the game. It's very clear and beautiful when it's only 1 or 2 people playing but it sucks that it gets kind of wonky once more than 2 people are playing. But this doesn't change the fact that I love this game and definitely recommend

This is arguably the best game for Wii U so far. If you do not own the console and have been thinking about purchasing one, now may be the time. If you've enjoyed Mario Kart games in the past you will surely love this one as well. This game innovates on the already strong MK formula but also stays true to what has made this franchise so successful. Not to mention the game looks absolutely gorgeous, as its the first HD version in the series. Enjoy!

I excited when I found out Mario Kart was coming out for the WiiU and I can tell you I am not disappointed with this release. This game is fun and exciting. The courses are amazing and they look amazing. Multiplayer is completely fun and I haven't noticed any issues with connections or anything. If you have kids this is a game you need. If you don't have a WiiU yet, this is a reason to get one. This game I would have to say is Highly recommended!

I have been a Nintendo fan since childhood and have played every edition of Mario kart from SNES to WII U. Each version is excellent, improving upon itself with each new release. The latest for WII U, Mario Kart 8, is no different. The updated graphics and challenging gameplay makes this a must have. Online Multiplayer is just icing on an already delicious cake. Get this title for endless hours of fun and (online) frustration - in a good way.

I enjoyed the lastest version of Mario Kart. Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U was a refreshing take on the old franchise. The HD graphics and soundtrack using real instruments was a welcome change and felt like a brand new experience for someone like me who has played every game in the series since the first one. The best way to enjoy is to play with friends and family in the grand prix mode, bringing out the best in everyone's competitive spirits.

This is the game that we all have been waiting for. The graphics and gameplay is beautiful! With lots of classic tracks the we have loved from years passed, to the new antigravity tracks this game does not dissappoint! The menus seem a. Little rushed, as well as the celebration screens for finishing a Grand Prix, but the gameplay and ease if setting up an online race more than make up for it! I love this game and absolutely can't put it down!

I find the new Mariokart 8 to be exciting and more challenging than the Mariokart that was released for the Wii. The graphics are fantastic but the 150cc is very difficult to beat. I enjoy the challenge and hopefully my racing will only get better over time.

I got this game for my brother who is a mario fan. I grew up with Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 and now my brother has the WiiU. To be honest, I think this game and the new console are pretty amazing. The graphics are so cool and just the dynamic seems interesting. My brother is really happy and we even invite our parents to play once in a while. I think this is a great gift for someone who loves videogames and a little bit of competition.

Best Mario kart yet. Love all of the characters and options. Gameplay feel and commands are excellent.
