The games of Mario Kart have gone farther than thought possible. Mariokart Wii shows YET AGAIN that you don't need 20 buttons to have fun. The new racer comes packed with the Wii Wheel, a shell for the Wiimote. The wheel works as you would expect, but if you're a gamer you might want to stick to a Gamecube controller. The game includes 12 characters per race now, and includes bikes. The technique of snaking, which is adding so much speed that you automatically win, has been made obsolete, so nobody has to worry over those things in Online play. The new races take the old races, pound them into burger meat, and leave them to die with enough action to make you forget there were past games at all. Unfortunately, that leaves you with 16 races you want to ignore. The graphics are unchanged from the Gamecube game, except the characters all seem to shine like someone dumped a ton of grease on them. But truly, the graphics don't matter as long as you have fun, and besides some easily-overlooked shortcomings, Mariokart Wii will have you playing that Australian kid on Wifi till 2 in the morning. Believe me, I've seen it happen.

My nephew loves racing and really loves this game! It's one of the better racing games for Wii. The graphics are really good, the 3-D characters are awesome, the vehicles are SWEET, and they have simple, intermediate, and advanced tracks. The game is challenging, and I HIGHLY reccomend to any acing fan or Wii gamer.

This is one of the best games I've ever had! The courses are fun and challenging, the characters are very customizable with their carts, and being able to play online for free is great! All the modes, such as Grand Prix and Battle, are fun to play. This is a great buy for anyone who wants a fun Wii game. A must have!

We bought this game for Christmas and my family loves it. We spent hours playing this game over the holidays. I would also recommend purchasing the steering wheels with this game. It feels more realistic with the steering wheels.

This game is so much fun. I really love the online play, lots of competition makes it so much fun. I wish that player 2 could get their rating changed when playing online, but that is not a big problem. There are lots of fun, challenging, and unique tracks to pick from, something for everyone.

This is a must buy for all wii owners especially if you are having a party of just playing with friends. It is pretty fun 1 player but multiplayer online and offline its great! I would recommend this game to anybody who wants to have fun. The wheel it comes with makes the game even more fun!

Introduction: Mario Kart Wii is the 6th and latest installment of the Mario Kart series, famous for its craziness and multiplayer madness. This game features several new elements but keep true to the Mario Kart legacy many of us grew up enjoying. Among these feautes is the new Wii Wheel, which comes free with the game. Gameplay: This where Mario Kart has always shined, and there is no let up in Mario Kart Wii. The motion sensor controls work very well and you will be able to pick it up and be drifting and making wheelies in no time at all, newbie or not. The main single player modes, grand prix and time trial are fun enough, with 8 cups to play, but what will keep you coming back is the multiplayer, which includes race and battle mode. The lack of options in multiplayer is a bit disappointing, but enough for fun with friends. The battle mode is great but only two modes are available and you can only do teams, no more free for all madness. Graphics: Now this is my one major gripe with the game. The character models are bad, very bad. Now I wasn't expecting anything special, but these are gamecube graphics on a good day. The character selection screen is sometimes painful to look at because some of the characters are so blocky. The courses are not too bad, but again nothing special. To me this is ot really acceptable, this next gen, the characters should look good, I know the Wii is not all that powerful but this is bad. However if this graphical cut allowed for the smooth online experience (covered later) then it is a good trade off. Sound: As always Nintendo delivers in the music department. Some tunes you will start humming without even noticing, that is the sign of a memorable tune. Some are forgettable but most are very entertaining that Mario way. NOt problems here. Re-playability: You just can't beat it here, this game is the most re-playable on the Wii (witht he exception of Smash Bros.). And finally Nintendo did the Wi-Fi right, still no voice chat, but it's lag free and fun as anything. What more could you want? You can also do 2 players on the same console online, which is a big plus. All in all this is best Mario Kart experience so far, so pick this up and relive your childhood, or keep it going at least.

This is a great game. The online is amazing. No one is a lot better than the person your racing or battling. The new race tracks are all different from each other. They are a ton of fun. Is is a fun game first player and even better multi. See you on the race track!

This is a great game. If you're a fan of MarioKart already or if you are just picking it up you'll love it. The online play is especially addicting, though it unfortunately uses the dreaded friend codes.

This game is great for 5yr olds & up. My daughter tested the game out in the store when she was four, but I waited for her to turn five to give it to her. Wish I let her play it earlier. So... I'm sure that four year olds can play this game. If you like Mario then it is a must have! Perfect game for beginners and all Mario fans. There are several different characters to pick from, different karts and bikes. Even though the game was not very challenging (for me) I still love the game, loads of fun and really cute. Can't go wrong with this game, it is a must have and you will not be disappointed. Even though my daughter has won all the cups in the grand prix she plays it over and over again. It's her favorite game. Then you can do timed trials and race against a ghost or race on teams (blue or red) to collect coins and or question marks. The team with the most coins wins.

Mario Cart is a lot of fun to play, especially against friends. Really glad I got the steering wheel with the game as it makes it a lot more fun and easier for newer people that play the game.

I have NEVER been a gamer or have ever found a game system that I could play and rule on...until I found the Wii that is. I'm 21yr old female, I'm in College, and I have no time to play games lead alone own one. Not only was I estatic to know that I rocked the Wii but I was soo stocked when my boyfriend talked me into buying this game. Racing? I'll be honest--not really my thing. However, with this game..I'm afraid I'll flunk out of College I'm playing it so much. LOL Seriously! I even kick my boyfriends butt and he suggested to buy it. Now, we sit up all night playing and my girlfriends are so jealous they didn't discover the funnest game (Mario Kart) before I did. I could have only bought this one game and would have been content. Please buy it because you or the person you're thinking about getting it for will LOVE playing it...no matter what their age!

A new spin on an old favorite! I freaked out when I saw the commercial, and when I saw that the Wii was in stock at Best Buy yesterday, I bought it. That's right, I got the Wii specifically for this game. And so far, it's been worth it! My friends and I are already addicted, and it's definately a game that we'll be enjoying for a long time! People seem to have mixed feelings about the wheel controller, but I love it. I think it really adds something to the game-play, making it more interactive (the entire point of the Wii system). In addition, the game has added more features, such as new tracks, new car types, and different "tricks" on the tracks. Fantastic! I cannot stress enough how much FUN this game is. Get it! And get the extra wheels (I got two extras so my roommates could enjoy it with me). It's definately a great game for EVERYONE!

It's awsome!! There are so many tracks to race on, even old ones. There is also new characters that weren't even on the other Mario Kart games. It's very interactive and fun. Oh, you can also do Wi-Fi and race other people around the world!

This is a great game for the Wii that will appeal to almost all age ranges. The fact that you can play anyone all over the world makes it really fun. The Wii wheel accessory works great. The tracks are many and varied, however, strategies seem almost too simplified. Also, the fact that one can go from first to last in a matter of seconds, based on items found, can make the game more or less fun depending how serious a gamer you are. Overall a great purchase!

Mario Kart is awesome! You can play online worldwide or regional or even with friends. T If you buy the wheel, it does take a little to get used to because any movement you do, the game catches it. It has a lot of courses to play on!

This game is absolutely a classic taken to the next level. I was skeptical about the wheel at first...but it really helps the game....trust me YOU WILL NEED TO BUY A 2nd WHEEL - its only 10 bucks and worth it. This game is the best!!!

This game is so cool. I recommend this to everyone. Even dads, moms, grannies... anyone. There's over 30 characters, 30 tracks, and 30 karts and bikes. It is so fun. All in all this is not a good or great game, it's an awesome game.

This game is amazing. I have been a huge fan of the Mario Kart series since it began, and I have to say that this is the best Mario Kart yet. Originally, I was skeptical of the Wii Wheel, but now that I've played it, it feels like this was the way Mario Kart games were supposed to be played. Also, I thought the retro tracks would feel bland, but they changed so much on these tracks that they feel brand new, and I love them. This is the best game for the wii by far. However, there are a few problems. Slingshotting is back, so don't expect to win every race easily. Plus, there's this one item that's shaped like a cloud. And instead of helping you it hurts you unless you go out of your way to crash into someone. But the fun that you get out of playing this game overshadows these problems. Buy it!

Most fun Wii game yet. The motorcycle option is great. The steering is a little sensitve but other than that the game play is excellent. The tricks that the characters do when going over the ramps are a big hit at our house.
