The Wii Wheel that comes with the game makes the experience completely different in the best way possible. The ability to really control what your driving makes the game so much better. It is amazing that you can play online now and chose to play with a friend online makes it even more cool. I just got Mario Kart Wii 2 days ago but it's already my favorite Wii game yet. I suggest that anyone who likes driving games or Mario games gets this game as soon as possible. If you have a lot of friends or family members who like these kind of games I also suggest that you get a couple more Wii Wheels on your hand.

I am not much for racing games, but this is one of the best games for wii! it is a classic twist with mario and racing and hast the old joys of mario cart with new wii controls! you can unlock characters and karts and also use your own mii! i love mario and they just made another SLAM DUNK! The length of the game is the perfect amount and you can continue playing after you unlock everything and it is just as fun! the online version is also fast and fun! altough playing with friends is more fun, playing alone is also great! GO BUY THIS GAME! it will be one of the smartest decisions of your life!

I purchased this game the day it came out and haven't been able to put it down! I have always been a fan of the old SNES Mario Kart, and thought nothing could top it, but this game is completely over it! All the old characters are back, including a new spin on some of the favorites such as Baby Mario, King Boo, and many others. There's also more Grand Prix levels, and you can mix it up by choosing Karts or Bikes. Overall i love the game, and can't get my friends off of it either. I highly recommend it. Haven't tried playing it without the wheel yet, but it has the same principals from what i can see.

This game has gotta be one of the best wii games out there. It's very fun with the wii wheel, especially when playing online. I dont recommend this if you dont have online access or atleast someone else to play it with. Also, the battle mode kinda fails in my opinion...wasnt nearly as good as the old mario karts(the battle).

This is a 5 star kart racer. It does everything a kart racer should do. If you are trying to compare a 5 star racer to a 5 star rpg or shooter, this review isn't for you. Internet play is hobbled by Nintendo's WiFi friend codes, but to their credit this has kept parents from worrying so much about their children's online connections. Multiplayer split screen is really the same as it ever has been, but seems more clear and detailed than past versions. I haven't tried four way split screen yet, but I would expect the smaller display size would at least marginally diminish the experience.

I used to play the GameCube version, but the Wii version is better. No more feeling like your thumb is going to fall off thanks to steering with the Wii-mote. Lots of folks have noted that the wheel itself is superfluous -- it's easy enough to play with just the Wii-mote. But I think the wheel is kind of fun, and the drag it provides may be the only way I'll ever get close to steering one of those unwieldy motorbikes in the game. This game is great because you can play a whole cup in 15 minutes or less, so it's a nice break from work, or you can binge for hours and never get bored.

I have been playing MarioKart for a few days now and its a blast. I think the graphics are excellent the different control schemes great (I use the wheel). One thing that is kind of a bummer is when you go to play online, even tho it says it finds people with the same skills(u start out with 5000 pts) you will often play people that have 8000+ points that will just run off and leave you. I have yet to win first place in an online race. There are lots of things to unlock. I'm not sure how much of a disadvantage you will be at over the long run using automatic instead of manual

This is what I think the best game out for the wii now. I have galaxy and smash brothers and both are fun games but i think mario kart is just above both of those games. I have been a big fan of the mario kart series since it came out on N64 and now with it on wii, it has lived up to the hype so far in my mind. I know for a fact that i will be playing this game day in and day out for a long time not to mention who awesome this is game is playing it online. This game is def a must buy for any wii owner, how wants a fun game that is easy to play but yet still needs some skill

Very much wanted a family game for the whole family, but yet one that the graphics would not break down with multiplayers as the Cars Race O Rama game does. Mario Kart fulfills that. The whole family can enjoy it and the graphics are awesome even in multiplayer mode. Even the 3 year likes it, even though she does not really understand how to drive. Our 7 year old does as well as I do most of the time and my wife even enjoys the game. Great family game overall with great graphics and control. Glad we spent the extra to get a quality game.

I just purchaed Mariocart today! It is an excellent game that is fun to use with the wheel. The game has provided many hours of entertainment already!

This is a really fun game and you can get hours of gameplay from it. There's a few new features like boosts, in-air tricks, etc...but other than that, it is pretty similar to Mario Kart Double Dash for the Gamecube. I was kind of disappointed about the lack of upgrades, new features and such, but I'm still satisfied with the game and still play it from time to time even after having bought it over a year ago. One thing I do not recommend for this game is the Wii Wheel. If you want to be cool or whatever by saying you only play with the Wii Wheel, fine, but you'll probably get dominated. It is much more fun and efficient to simply play with the Wii-Mote and Nunchuck or the Gamecube Controller. The drifiting aspect in this game is awesome, and you really can't do it with the Wii Wheel. Another disappointment is the new stages; there are a few fun ones, but other than that I consider them to be pretty weak. Overall, it is a fun game, probably worth buying if you really like the Mario Kart franchise. I'm looking forward to a new Mario Kart game, though.

make sure your tv is big enough for 4 players!!! otherwise it gets a bit tough to see you characters. gameplay is awesome and so much fun! glad the game came with at least one wheel which believe it or not make's a pretty big difference in experiencing the game. the game is challenging because i still haevn't unlocked everything so i'm glad that it keeps me at a distance as far as completely beating it... multiplayer is awesome and i can't even imagine playin this on wifi woohoo!! a must for any wii console holders!! great for parties

Mario Kart wii is a great game. If you're a fan of all the old Nintendo series (Super Mario, Mario Party...) you will definitely want to buy this game. Its a great game to sit around with some friends and play. The inclusion of the wii wheel is a great deal, and yes, it does make a difference whether you use it or not. A lot of the old maps are included, as well as my favorite battle map, sky scrapper. Although there isn't much of a difference between this and double dash, besides the multiplayer and motion controls, it's still a must buy.

YOU ALSO HAVE A PRACTICE MODE AND WITH THE WII WHEEL IT REALLY FEELS LIKE YOUR DRIVING THE DIFFRENT CARS AND MOTORBIKES !!!!! FOR HOURS OF FUN YOU NEED TO BUY THIS GAME FOR YOU AND OR YOUR FAMILY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the disappointing Gamecube version (Mario Cart Double Dash), this game brings new life to the series. The wii wheel control is a must, because it makes the game that much more fun (and incredibly easy to use). The graphics are vivid and colorful but not overpowering, and the new levels are inventive and easy to get the hang of. If you ever get bored of playing against the computer (you won't), you can also play people from around the world on wi-fi, which takes almost no time to connect to. Overall, just a great game.

I really enjyed this game. I usualy can beat a game in a matter of a few hours then I get bored and tired of it. this is not the case fore this game. I like this game because I used to have other nintendo consiles and its like a blast from the past with some of the races from those games. if you are buying for children, i have a 9 year old sister and my cousins, all a little younger, had trouble racing and beating levels, but they had a blast playing the other mini games on this game. This game is deffinatly great for everyone.

the game is so much fun and so easy that my wife picked it up and loves it also! i'm going to get many hours of enjoyment from this game.

This is one of the best wii games. It has great graphics and levels to race on. The online play has almost no lag and is great period.

This game is great for all ages! All the boards have pretty good graphics and there are quite a few characters/cars to choose from.

This game is absolutely amazing. I love the DS version of this game, but this is so much fun. So far its the best game for the Wii and might be the best game of the year for me. This game is only $50 and you get a wheel with it, but I recommend using the nunchuk and the wireless remote or the classic controller. I hate the wheel, but I still love the game. Buy this game!!!! There is so much you can do with it. You can play alone, with friends, with people aross the U.S. or even across the globe. AMAZING!
