Always remembered playing earlier versions as a kid and having fun, so I decided to pick this up for the Wii U. The graphics are great and the gameplay is awesome. So many mini games added to have hours of fun.

The mini games are very fun and play very smooth! Bowser mode is also a nice addition to Mario party and uses the gamepad well!

My very young daughter is totally engrossed in this game. It has almost made her forget about Mario 3D World. Being Bowser in the Bowser Party mode is refreshing though having a young child essentially torture her favorite Nintendo characters may be questionable. The Amiibo mode is cute and a lot of fun. Getting a daily reward (new base for in-game characters, scratchers for other characters) for scanning each amiibo is something to look forward to and brings us back to the game daily.

Mario Party has become a lackluster party game since the initial shift to the concept of "we all move together to reach the end..." That being said Mario Party 10 kicks it up wit the new game mode and over all polish. The price point also allows for less criticism. As a fan of the N64 trilogy of Mario Party, I will always miss the game board, buying stars from toad, and independent turns. But this game in particular give the series a much needed breathe of fresh air

Not as fun as the Mario Party games of old, but still a good game. My only complaint is that you don't play a mini-game after all four players take a turn. This seems to take the skill out of the equation and the winner is usually random. Fun if you're playing with experts and novices, but not so fun if all four players are very good. Still, the mini-games are fun, and the mini-boss and boss battles are a lot of fun. Still worth the buy!

Fun game for parties or hanging out with friends and going up against each other. The Bowser mode will make everyone else dislike that player, but is incredibly amusing to take all the other players down.
Only downside is the mario party mode which moves all the players together, which can make the game a little boring at times.

I'm a huge Mario Party fan. I've been playing this game installment since it was on Nintendo 64. I was excited for this release on the WiiU, but a little disappointed in the game play. You have the option to play the classic version of Mario Party, or a new Bowser Party version. I've only played the classic as it seems the Bowser version is only something fun to play with a big group. They have 5 different game boards and all of them are 30 minutes long. I don't like that everyone has to move together in a vehicle, instead of independently like the classic version. They also got rid of collecting coins and needing money to pay for stars. Now stars are won in mini-games, as well as buy going through "gates" during the board game with a lucky spin of the dice. The mini games are fun, but some of the instructions aren't clear so it's frustrating. Who has time to practice MiniGames each time? #AintNobodyGotTimeForThat Mini games are only played if landing on spots with hidden mini-game blocks, instead of each time the round of players rolling the dice block ends. It makes the whole Mario Party experience extremely quick, and there's no way to choose the length of the game play. So if you want to play more than 30 minutes, you need to start up another game. If I had the choice between buying this game or buying the GameCube Mario Party versions for the WiiU in the UShop, I'd choose the GameCube versions 100% of the time. They're just more fun to play. Thanks for the disappointment Nintendo.

Note: I haven't played the amiibo mode yet.
This game was great to play with a bunch of people, but seems less competitive than previous releases in the series. Unlike other releases, everyone moves together in one cart, and instead of counting turns, the game ends when you get to the end of the board. Like previous games, you play mini-games based on spaces you land on and once everyone has finished their turn. The reason I said less competitive is that multiple people said it felt like it was harder to play against your opponents and hinder them in some way. It feels like you're really just playing with people instead of playing against them. Not a complaint really, just a shift in how I perceived previous games versus this one.
The biggest thing for me was playing as Bowser. This game makes the best use of the tablet I've seen yet. You control Bowser and create a 1v4 environment where you are trying to catch up to the four on the board and knock them out of the game. In keeping with the friendly nature of mario party, people knocked out can come back in, so it's not permanent. Knocked out players just make it easier for Bowser to catch up. This mode adds all the offensive competitive nature back into the game as you try to hinder the opposing team.
I wish there was more attacking other characters in the normal game, but that doesn't make this a bad game. This is a really fun for a family friendly game or friendly competitive game.

In our household we're HUGE WiiU fans. We like having family gatherings and playing in the living room. It's so fun to betray everyone and get betrayed in the process. If you've played any other Mario Party game before this is no different. It's a gameboard type layout that a group of players goes through to get to the end with the most stars. How you get there is part of the fun. There are tons of mini games and challenges that will keep even the most hardcore gamer entertained. We love this game and can't recommend it enough!

My son enjoys many of the Mario games, we have several. Ever since the outbreak of the Amiibos games try to get you to use them. So Mario Party 10 forces you to have exclusive Amiibos for, you have to delete the saved data from a previous game if not you can't play it. The fact of being able to use Bowser is cool and different, by messing up the rest of the players.

Lots of mini games for all ages.
Many of the more challenging games are a lot of fun.
The mini games and board games are easy and straight forward to play.
The amiibo mode gives that nice nostalgic Mario Party vibe.
The game is child friendly.
Bowser mode is fun to play
If you've played a previous Mario Party game in the series, you know what to expect with Mario Party 10. It's another great party game for all ages with a few new features, gameplay mechanic tweaks, and a plethora of new mini-games..

I was dissuaded from buying this when it first came out because I read the "pro" reviews, and people were disappointed by the car mechanic. I'm not a loyal die-hard Mario Party fan, so that didn't bother me at all, but my friends and I have had hours and hours of fun playing the minigames. We play the normal mode as well, and Bowser mode can be incredibly frustrating or fun, depending on if you're winning or losing.
But the minigames make this game worth it.
