This is always a fun game to play with friends and family. Single player, not so much, but that's expected from a party game. Amiibo mode does feel a bit tacked on but Bowser and Mario Parties are both good times.

This game has a lot to do. There are quite a few game modes. It's fun to play as Bowser against everyone else. The only thing I don't like is on the regular game modes, all 4 characters are moving together for each roll instead of individually. I miss trying to get to the stars first. Mini games are fun though.

I highly recommend it for those who have friends locally and that have multiple controllers. It is a nice addition to the series but only if you don't have the previous versions. In my case, I played the previous versions with my friends but never bought one and if you have amiibos it's even better.

Mario party 10 brings together a bunch of mini games in its usual board game based modes. The problem is it follows the mario party 9 formula where everyone moves in the same car. This means the opportunities to mess with other players are far less present and the games are sometimes too short. The mini games themselves are fun but some sessions you will not get to play many of them as the only way they are played is if you land on certain squares rather than at the end of every round. In summary a fun game but lots of room for improvement in the next installment.

Now, I've only played the original Nintendo 64 Mario Party and then the Wii U version. What I loved about Mario Party was that you would be at the throats of your friends while playing Couch Co-Op and playing those palm destroying minigames to do so. Mario Party 10 brings tons of fun minigames to the table and even has Amiibo compatibility. The regular Mario Party mode in MP10 is not the classic versus playstyle that I had loved so much, but the Amiibo mode is instead the competitive mode. If the game did not have the Amiibo competitive mode that allowed for classic Mario Party gameplay, the overall score would have been lower.

This game has the changed party mode shown in 9, but it goes to develop on it some more. Bowser Party introduces the capability to play with a 5th friend which is pretty amazing considering the fact that your group of friends might exceed to be 4 people rather than just 3. For fans of the party modes that came previous to Mario Party 9 installment you can rejoice in the fact that they now have a new Amiibo mode which in my opinion utilizes Amiibos perfectly. Amiibo party uses the old mario party game types with so much fun in the way it's played because it's really fast paced meaning anyone can catch up and overcome first place. Something odd is that if you use a Bowser amiibo in the Amiibo Party then you can only play Bowser Party minigames and not choose to do different ones, but I guess they just didn't program the model into ordinary minigames so they left him out.

This game is a great excuse to invite friends and family to have a good time. The game has 3 modes, party mode, bowser mode, and amiibo mode. Bowser mode is lots of great fun where 1 player gets to pick on the other 4. Party mode is just like the previous mario party 9 gameplay. Although it has great minigames, the linear board make the games not last as long (not necessarily a bad thing), and makes it less competitive. The amiibo mode is a lot like the classic mario party games (collect 20 coins buy a star, etc.) and could have been fantastic! But little quirks like only giving 10 rounds to play, and having to tap the amiibo to the gamepad for every stupid thing gets kind of annoying. So far I have had a blast with this game, the games are a lot faster paced, allowing you to play multiple boards within a couple of hours. I just wish it had a classic mode or something (maybe a DLC?!)

Ok so as a Classic Mario Party Player here I can hopefully expect some good things from a game that is now on it's TENTH part of the series not including it's Portable Mario Party games! Anyways we will start with Standard Mario Party mode. Right then well, it's playable and can be fun but it's still got that stupid ride on car stuff they forced on you in Mario Party 9. I guess they didn't get the memo that, that system was awful.....It ruins the board game fun of being able to CONTROL your character. It leaves it down to luck on the board and how good you are at the mini games. You can't use strategy on the board anymore -_- HUGE problem there. Right then here's where that cart system actually works! Bowser mode! It's 4 vs 1 in this 5 player game mode. It's actually a LOT of fun and really works! Was not disappointed and this mode kind of makes this Mario Party not entirely that bad I recommend playing this mode. Right then so your expected this is next gen on a wifi based console so there's a internet mode right? Wrong. Sorry there is NO Online Multiplayer. A much needed feature that could've made this game a amazing hit. (Who is in charge of game design? I could've picked better features....) And finally amiibo board mode. This mode is much more like classic mario party and isn't that bad to play as you can actually control each character differently.. It can be pretty awesome and simple but it's lacking quite a bit at the same time. The excessive requirement of amiibo's even to just roll your dice is kind of annoying if you don't want to keep the pad on a close by coffee table and be able to keep tapping the amiibo to the gameboard. It just seems over done as a feature for the amiibos. Over a fun game but not worth full price. Definitely get on sale or used. Then it'll be worth it for sure. Game can be possibly saved with game updates if they add more features, Online, board game controls etc. We will see how it goes I guess since Nintendo's DLC has been rather good past generation.

Like other Mario Party titles this game is best played with at least two other people. Unlike the earlier games all players move together across the board, meaning that games are much shorter than in the past and there is a heavier emphasis on minigames. The main party mode isn't the best the series has to offer but the addition of other modes like Bowser Party and various minigame modes add a lot of replayability. Amiibo support is included but as of now it only unlocks a bonus board game mode that is not as engaging as the main game that you can access without amiibo figures.

Mario Party 10 is a good upgrade from the last version. There are so many mini games. I went quite a while without playing the same mini game. Games average 30 minutes for group play. Additional side games like tennis are also fun.

Mario Party 10 has super fun mini games however the rest of the game is kinda a mess. Nintendo went with the car design pioneered in Mario Party 9 (Which most people didn't like) in order to simplify the game. This kinda kills the feeling of playing a board game. However they did add an amiibo mode that plays more like classic mario party but again is simplified and requires way too much use of the amiibo. If you love Mario Party you'll still find fun with this game, if you're a casual fan maybe just consider renting this.

There are pro and cons of this game. This game is most fun when more than two players play. The game consists of board games and free play games (which I love). For the board games, players take turn and throughout the board games, there are minigames/battles to obtain stars. Whoever has the largest amount of stars at the end, WINS! With this game, you can't use the WIIU game pad which really sucks. I would like to use the gamepad because it's more convenient. More of a group or family game!

I own every mario party from one to ten, including the ds and 3ds versions. The amiibo integration is cool although the actual board is simple. The actual minigames are fun and simple. It's a good party game, but if you've played previous ones and are fatigued of the series this won't change your mind. Solo players be warned as it has limited replay value, and multiplayers will enjoy it more. Negative aspects is that there is no online play.

If you like the old school Mario Party where everyone was scattered out when then this isn't for you. The Amiibo Party kind of gives it to you , but stage is so small it doesn't do any justice. Only fun feature for me was Bowser Party and that was just, so I could anger all my friends. It's fun, but not worth what the price is. Not many mini games. I feel empty and missing a lot. Great for some family fun or ruining of friendships.

It's not a bad first entry for the Mario Party series on Wii U, but long time fans will probably not love the new gameplay style. Rather than a traditional "around the board" style of play, all players now ride in a vehicle together from start to finish. It's linear, feels a bit more predictable, and should have been a secondary mode to the original style. At the very least, you could add the option to do "start to finish" but with players moving separately. Skip the Amiibo party mode. You'll spend so much time taking the Amiibos on/off the gamepad, that it will lose it's appeal very quickly, and heaven help you if you have kids who are obsessed with Amiibos. If you do, you'll soon be wishing that Amiibo Party didn't exist. The Bowser mode is the real higlight here. One player is Boswer, and chases the other players during their race to the finish. It's pretty satisfying, and playing as Bowser feels overpowered, but doesn't actually break the game. There's enough satisfaction here that this mode alone makes the game a worthwhile pickup, but not enough to forgive the overall lack of depth in the rest of the game. Summary: Pick this one up...when it goes on sale.

It's a bit different than past Mario Party games. It's strange that you all move as one unit instead of each person being their own moving piece. It takes a different strategy to win with this method and you get used to it eventually and I can see some benefits of it. Aside from that, it's the normal fun with all the different mini games and party games. Played it with 3 other people and we had fun!
