I am so bummed this wasn't the first Mario Party released on the Switch. Super Mario Party is a fine game, but it isn't what long time fans wanted and it was lacking in content. That said it was first on the platform so it sold like hotcakes. As a result Superstars will now always be in its shadow and I fear Nintendo will take that as a sign that more people liked Super's content then Superstars content. This game was incredible and at least in my experience, and I have like 40+ hours in it at this point, the online works flawlessly. This is what I want from every Mario party going forward.

This is the best Mario Party has been in a long time! After the disaster that was the WII U edition of this game I had been losing hope that there would ever be another truly great version released. Mario Party Superstars delivers and then some. From the selection of games & maps to the online multiplayer just about everything is done to perfection. My only gripes with the game are I wish there were more maps (not that I don't love what comes with the game I just find myself craving more) and I wish they would have included the story cinematics elements from early boards (I.e the yoshi love story from yoshi island). If you're new to the series or looking for a nostalgia trip this game is for you.

Great game and alwasy a good time to play and theres a good amount of stuff to unlock with about 5-7 different maps and multiple minigames to play with friends and family.

It’s very fun and engaging. The items are more fun and the boards are great. Playing with others online is great too. I wish there were more characters though

Mario Party purists rejoice! This game was made for long time Party lovers who just want a fun, nostalgic experience. I love that this game goes back to basics, with tried and true mini games and maps from past games. What really shines here are the mini games. There are TONS! The fact you can now pretty seamlessly play online is great as well. My only complaint is that I wish they included MORE maps and mini games. I just want costume parties like from Mario Party 2!!! That may never happen but that's okay. I'll be happy with Superstars for years to come.

Ever since the release of Mario Party 7, the newer versions of Mario Party on the NextGen consoles have seemed slightly rushed and didn't really maintain the same nostalgic feel the others have. I was pleasantly surprised to find this version captures that feeling perfectly and it even has samples and snippets from the older/games and maps to really magnify that. I wish there were more characters or maybe a create-a-map/custom map option at this point but overall; I am very pleased with this one in general and especially compared to the first one, 5/5!

It’s nice that this is a Mario Party compilation of some sorts. So many mini-games, but only 5 boards?! In addition, even Super Mario Party had more characters to choose from. Hoping there’s going to be some DLC add ons in the future. Online playing is improved from the last game at least.

This game is what top 100 wanted to be. It’s so good! I have no complaints besides the lack of characters, but that could be fixed in the future as people have already found stuff in the games files that could lead to updates! Anyways now my actual review. The mini game choices are great. I like a lot of the ones that they put in. The boards are fun and Unique! Being able to customize your own party card is fun! There’s about 60 achievements to collect so if you want to 100% this, then you have something to enjoy! You can switch the Music for the boards with the original music or the remix that was made for the game in Options once you’ve played the board once. Really Nice feature for those people that like the classic music from many years ago! You can list your favourite Mini games, boards and Mario party game in the series! (From 1 to 10) and it’s Uploaded to an online server where you can see other peoples opinions on these things. Really cool! Online play is a plus as we are all still struggling being stuck inside du to The current world event. Stickers are a fun way To communicate with people online and just in general are fun all together! 9/10 rating for me. Would be 10/10 if the game had a few more characters. That’s it! Such a fun game to play as a family, added it to our game night rotation, Great graphics and design.

This is the funnest Mario Party since the Nintendo 64 games. The only downside is that there is only five maps to play on. Supposedly more could come as DLC later on. I wouldn’t pay full price for the game but it is very enjoyable with friends.

Played a few games only but man is it better than the previous one and also does have the same feel and fun as the older Mario party titles. I hesitated on buying it since the older titles are on N64 online but finally wanted to try the new one and our family had a blast. My younger siblings are always having a blast like my cousins and I did.

This is what we have been waiting for in the Mario Party franchise. The previous Mario Party thag came out 2 years ago or so was okay but fell short. However, this game, Mario Party Superstars, goes back to the roots, brings back classic boards and minigames, has updated visuals, and retain all the charm of what makes a Mario Party game. The controls are spot on. The boards have much variety with the original board mechanics that made them fun. The mini games are excellent. This game really did take the original and mastered it for present day on the newest Nintendo console. Another huge pro is that it comes with online play out of the box! It would be really cool to see more boards to be added to the game from the N64 days. But for now, this game is great. If you want to have some multiplayer fun and make some memories with friends and family -- pick this up!

What a fun game! Kids love it and it’s been a huge family favorite.

As somebody who played the original three Mario Party games, I've been waiting for an "All-Stars" version of those games for a while. This delivers on every level, and even includes quite a few minigames from the Gamecube titles. Just buy it and you won't be disappointed.
