I love tennis and I love Mario so naturally I really liked this game. The main problem with this game is that the matches are very short and sometimes really frustrating. Overall the game is a lot of fun especially with friends and family.

The quality of this game is superb. With the electricity of quick twitch reflex saves and delight of hammering your special shots, this game will delight and provide hours of entertainment.

My daughter loves tennis so it a great way to spend some gaming time with her. I don’t play video games and this one is easy enough that I’m able to play with her.

Okay, great game, thankd for inflatiung the price to sub-astronomical levels, Nintendo. Anyway, it keeps the boy busy, which is the overarching premise behind all of these games, isn't it?

This game was a great spin on Mario tennis. There’s great online play, and constant updates for this game. Tons of free dlc and add ons. Best Mario tennis in the series.

Originally I bought this game for my child unfortunately she really wasn't into it. On the other hand, I did and I'm constantly winning and losing. Get this game.

If you grew up playing Mario Tennis on the 64, this game will take you back to all the power shots of yesteryear, but the single player mode leaves much to be desired. Otherwise another great couch co-op experience for the switch!

The game has a small single player mode called Adventure mode. I found this to be very fun although it's is short. The biggest draw to the game is the online play by way of tournaments.

Went into store with my 9 year old daughter and we played the demo instore. Just playing this game as a demo was fun, I can hardly imagine what it will be like in the full version.

This game is an improvement over the last release. Love the amount of characters to choose from and that they are still making more available. Game is fun and does offer a challenge.

Cool gameplay but the game lacks visual creativity and lacked a good amount of content at launch.

Amazing fun mario sports game. Has a good story and even once you beat the game it has multiplayer. Great game for either single player fun or for when you have friends & family over.

Great for the family...just make sure you have enough space for players to swing their arms when playing, if not someone can get hurt.

It’s great fun online, but I wish there were more options for offline play. It would be nice to be able to choose set and match lengths, and more easily select courts, etc. I can’t say it’s worth $60, but it is a good game overall

    Arcade Tennis with caveats

There's only so much you can do with tennis games. Do you keep it a pure simulation but frustrating due to the realities behind the physics involved? Or do you make it an arcadey game to make it fun to play? Nintendo takes the latter route, and adds things like super shots with the potential to break your opponents racket. They do alienate some of the hardcore tennis fans by attempting to keep matches shorter by turning sets into a race to 3 affair (or by KO from breaking your opponent's racket with power shots). That being said, it's still fun, and the single player mode does a nice job of introducing you to the newer concepts they bring to make it more of a chess match where you choose the best stroke to use for your situation rather than just mashing the topspin button all day.
