I really like this speaker. It has good sound and I love the size of it. The only downside to it in my opinion is that I feel like it needs a little more bass to it. I still like it, but I would have given it 5 stars if the sound had more bass. It is really easy to use and connects quickly to any Bluetooth device. It is hard to believe that you can receive this quality of sound from a speaker this small.

I bought the Marshall Emberton II from Best Buy and I’m really enjoying it. The sound quality is amazing for its size, and I use it every day. The battery lasts long and it’s super easy to carry around. Totally worth it!

This speaker is relatively small and portable, so I was surprised by the richness of the sound it produces. I can keep this in the living room while I’m going from room to room and not lose high or low tones. The bass is great right out the box, I couldn’t be happier.

I have to say that this Marshall portable speaker does not disappoint and packs a powerful punch of balance and beaming music. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. In addition, Marshall has not sacrificed the functionality and practically in their design. I highly recommend giving this speaker a try. Once again, a best buy @Bestbuy...

    The vintage of the future

This Marshall speaker is very unique and distinctive in its own way. It's like a modern vintage speaker. It's very well constructed with a rugged body and metal grills. The rugged body from a far you may think is leather. The black and bronze accent makes this thing standout. On the top you have a joystick in the center that acts as a control and power button. Moving the stick up or down you control the volume. Left and right you control the tracks. By pressing it down you control the on/off. When powering on or off the speaker makes this pretty cool guitar melody. On the top you also have the pairing button and a battery meter. I really like the battery meter. I find it very useful as you can easily figure out how much battery you have left by just looking at it. When you charge the speaker using the provided USBA to USBC cable the meter makes this cool charging animation. When it comes to sound, it is very loud with clear highs. On the low side is ok, the bass is not as deep as I thought it would be. If you want to experience a better base, position the speaker close to a wall, preferably a corner. Bouncing the sound from the wall will generate a much richer and deeper base. This thing has speaker radiators in the back so you get sound from both sides. It also has an ip67 rating so yes it can get a little wet. Something I found strange was this speaker being Bluetooth, you cannot take phone calls. It does not have a built-in mic, so when the call comes through you have to take the phone. I usually don't take calls on those speakers but that’s just me and having the option to do so is a plus. When it comes to battery manufacturers, they have it rated at 30 plus hours of portable time. I used it for a little over 6 hours non-stop and it went dead. Take into account I did have it at high volume so that probably contributed to draining the battery at a higher rate. Overall this is a really good speaker with a distinctive signature and a rugged body that will last for a long time. In the box you get the speaker, charging USBC cable, and manual.

This speaker is fantastic. I bought one for my computer and I use it also working on projects in my garage. It has great sound and gets really loud for a smaller speaker. I bought a second one for my son for his birthday! The battery life is awesome! I have only had to charge it once and used it continuously for 8 hours straight 3 days in a row before it had one bar left. It takes a few hours to fully charge. Worth every penny!

This Marshall Emberton III portable speaker is beyond awesome! Fabulous sound ~ iconic looks ~ and so very well built. Connects flawlessly to whatever I need it to and I carry it around the house due to its smaller size. The battery life is exceptional and it's well worth the purchase. I cannot imagine my life without this in it now. An outstanding Marshall product!!

This is one of the best Bluetooth speakers out there in this size category and price range. I also have the first gen Bose SoundLink Flex, which is also a great speaker. Both the Flex and the Emberton have their strong points. The Emberton has 360° sound which makes the listening experience more immersive with its incredible soundstage. Plus the Battery life on the Emberton II is much better than the Flex. Also, you gotta love the looks of the Emberton. I know many people prefer to have speakers with microphones, I could not care less about this feature. I am very selective and picky about sound quality. I have purchased and returned many Bluetooth speakers over the years that just didn't make the cut, and I still own Bluetooth speakers from Klipsch, Sony, and Harman Kardon, in addition to the Bose and Marshall brands. Remember what Jan Brady used to say, "Marshall, Marshall, Marshall!" Just get it, especially since it's currently on sale for $99 - it's an easy choice and you won't regret it!

Love the sound quality and looks of this speaker. This was my second one so I could use the stack mode, and I’m very impressed how the sound fills a large room. Stack mode can be a little annoying to sync up, but worth the effort. Also, great battery life and very durable.

Jekyll & Hyde Speaker. Good low vol, poor high vol

Before getting to the Jekyll & Hyde sound this speaker gives you, I'll cover the other aspects. We'll start with the build quality of this speaker. The speaker itself is very well made and has a good weight to it for a smaller speaker. The rubbery type feel has a leather-type pattern to it, which looks nice. The metal grille on both front and back looks very stylish. It really does look the part of a quality speaker to justify the price tag. It would look great sitting on a desk, in a den or man cave. This speaker is supported by the Marshall app. The app itself is very basic. There is an EQ option, but it's just 3 pre-set configurations, one of which is really only good for stuff like podcasts. The default EQ is really the best option, so not much use for the app unless you are waiting to use more than one of these wireless in what they refer to as "stack" mode. Sound wise, this is where the speaker is Jekyll & Hyde. At lower to medium volume, the speaker sounds fairly smooth with a nice little bump to the bass for a small speaker. This isn't a very loud speaker, so as you turn it up to about 75-80% or more, this is where Mr. Hyde shows himself. At higher volume levels the bass disappears and the upper treble gets very bright. At max volume this speaker sounds quite harsh and really lacking in bass. It's pretty much not enjoyable at max volume. So in the end, if you need a speaker to just listen at lower levels, this speaker sounds pretty nice and looks fantastic. It does have a driver and passive radiator on both front and back, which means you don't get the full force of the sound pointing at you no matter how you position it. Best to sit it on a corner to let the sound shoot front and back to also get a boost in the bass output from being in the corner. But if you want something you can crank up in a small or medium room, this might give cause to call the police and report there has been a violent assault on your ears.
