I wanted a speaker to replace the older rechargable bose my ex left with. The Marshall-Kilburn went beyond my expectations and is hands down better then the bose. Clarity and big full sound is amazing. Retro look is nice, with the handle for carrying a big plus. I use in my camper, garage, as well as the main sound system for my living room - this is a great all around speaker

Bought speaker because of the sound and battery replacement. Love treble and bass controls. Marshall is the speaker that all the great guitar players from my era used.Love high guitar treble Loved that sound all my life. And this speaker does everything I want in a Bluetooth portable speaker. No speakers l have heard can compare with the sound quality of this speaker. This speaker is not the loudest speaker but it ranks very high.. Plus battery replacement was very high on my list.Every Bluetooth speaker on the market needs to have battery replacement And Marshall lead the way for all other manufacturers to follow this move.I like my music on high all the time and the speakers I have owned UE boom lasted two months battery would hold a charge for about two and one half hours.Jbl extreme took one back because of battery issues.Got a brand new one in replacement. Still use it daily love the sound because it is loud. I got ten portable Bluetooth speakers if you like clarity than the Marshall speaker is the one to get.If you like real loud xtreme is good.Remember jimi Hendrix used Marshall and I love the sound of Marshall amps. The only thing lacking is waterproof Ing this speaker. If it had that it would be the best Bluetooth speaker on the market hands down.

I wanted something for the backyard and portable. Looked at Bose but I went with this unit. Sounds fantastic and the base and and treble can be controlled separate. Battery lasts 20 hours and setup is a snap. Up to 6 bluetooth units can be programed. Just turn it on and your off. Also looks cool

This Marshall Kilbourne gives you everything that you need out of a portable Bluetooth speaker. Yes, it's a little bit more bulky than the traditional portable speaker, but it's also a lot more fun too. The retro design is throwback cool and it's knobs allow you to tweak your music to your own personal tastes. You get nice playback time from the battery, an option to input via hardwire, and if you really want to crank the jams simply leave it plugged in. While it might be a little more money then some speakers you're considering, I'd say spend a couple extra bucks and be even more happy with your purchase as you rock the Casbah! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the portable Marshall Kilburn bluetooth speaker. It comes securely packed with all the necessary equipment. It took me less than 10 minutes to pair my devices with the speaker. The sound quality is excellent and it has a nice volume range. It has some weight to it which is ok and I really like the look of it. For some it maybe a little pricey, but for me it was well worth the price.

Far superior product in comparison to the Beats Pill +, while almost double the price-it has far more battery power and volume. i have owned almost all the higher end bluetooth speakers or at least read up on them extensively and the original large Beats Pill XL which was made of metal Best Buy sold for around 300-350 before Apple discontinued it a year ago was by far the best Bluetooth unit I had used with about 2X the battery and Volume, Bass of the current weak Pill + (hence the new reduced price as 260 was far too much for a very minor upgrade over the base 160 Stock Pill), this unit is the closest to mimic that Original Pill XL's long 10 hour battery and this has almost more Bass and Volume with 4 analog Dials allowing you to alter the treble, Bass and equilibrium in an old school presentation that is cool. The unit is not so portable just know this-it is quite large with about a one foot wide footprint by 8 inches deep and it is quite heavy-also no waterproof feature and at 300-400 you will not want to drag this around and risk damage so consider pricing it more against the SONOS since you will most likely keep it it one spot. Still very much worth the high price-the sound is great and it has phenomenal Blue tooth range-it will pick up my iPhone almost 50 feet away THROUGH my condo walls when I come out of the elevator-I have never seen anything with that kind of range I have to say that is the BEST feature by far...It stays connected to my phone through numerous walls and almost 60 feet or more away with no break in signal-absolutely HIGH QUALITY. You won't be disappointed.

We bought this because we wanted a better speaker to play our playlist at a 4th of July party. On display was the larger version of the Marshall Amp speaker with 5 1/4 woofers. It looked pretty old-school and pumped out great sound. I couldn't bring myself to spend $400 so I figured I'd chance the smaller $300 model with 4" woofers. Its almost as loud as its big brother and the sound comes out clean. Very little distortion with more than enough base and clear highs. Its also more portable than the bigger version. I'm sure I'd have loved the big one but I'm very happy with this one.

This speaker sounds amazing, especially considering it's size. The fact that it only has one woofer does not good it back, bass definition and response is spectacular. Highs sparkle and mids are warm and welcoming. You can tell the sound signature is geared towards rock, but other genres still sound great.

This thing is great. I've used a number of different Bluetooth speakers, and this one is a great option. Much better sound quality and volume than a Bose SoundLink Mini. The battery lasts forever - I get about 10-15 hours of play out of it. My only gripe is that it isn't waterproof or sandproof. I won't be taking mine to the beach, but if that was my primary use, if look for an alternative.

I purchased this item as a gift for my older sister. I have the non portable version, which she really liked when she had visited. She loves to sit outside, so this is the perfect gift. Her comments "It was a little heavy but loved the look and finish. Setup was easy and linking it with iPad was seamless. Sound's great and have not had any problems with battery life."

i was looking at jbl, bose and beats bluetooth speakers, when the best buy salesman put me on this speaker. Those other brands dont hold a candle to the Marshall Kilburn speaker. The sound is awesome and not just room filling, but house filling. The battery life is terrific. Dont settle for the other ones buy a Marshall

As a guitar player I live the look of the Marshall speakers. The sound quality is great as well. The first time I went to buy one of these, along with an echo dot, I got talked into a Sonos one with Alexa built in. The price was $10 more for the Sonos, but I had heard so many great things about Sonos that I decided to go that route. After about 40 days with the Sonos I saw the this Marshall on sale again. I decided to buy it and return the Sonos. I am so glad I did. This speaker is easily equal in sound quality but it has a more full sound. Plus you don’t get full function Alexa with third party adaptation. Also this speaker is portable. I haven’t really tested out the battery, but I have seen good things from other reviews. If you can pick this up for $150 like I did I don’t think you can find better for the money.

This speaker is really great for its size. The bass is truly fantastic. It's a little expensive compared to other portable speakers, but I think it sounds and looks better. I put "portable" in quotes because I'm a weakling, and would not want to carry this out of the house on my back for very long. The aux cord seems pretty sturdy. I have not had issues with the bluetooth making the sound quality worse.

The best sounding speaker I've had so far!

I've had a Bose Soundlink Mini, Mini 2, Soundlink III, JBL Charge 3, Bose Soundlink Revolve + and a Marshall Kilburn speakers so far. By far, the Marshall Kilburn speakers are the best sounding ones I've had. If you listen to music that is not always bass heavy - this speaker is for you. It just blew my mind away when I played my rock music collection. There is are two negatives that I found. The first one ( which might be a deal-breaker for some ) - when I used the bluetooth connectivity as opposed to the 3.5mm aux input, there was significant loss in the music quality. I bought a Aluratek Bluetooth transceiver and used the bluetooth from that and set the speaker always in aux input mode. Works like a charm. The second negative is, to charge the speakers you have to plug it in to the wall unit and turn the speaker on (no idea why!) - but that's not the problem. There's no indication of low battery on the speaker until you're down to 20%. But those two things aside, man are these speakers awesome! I keep going back to these speakers in spite of them being bulky.

This is a great sounding speaker for people who love to adjust bass and treble to their liking. Not to mention that its easy on the eyes! beautifully made. Its not a speaker that is really, really loud. If youre looking for really loud, i would reccomend the bigger kilburn speaker thats $100 more, which is great if you ask me
