This sub sounds like a speaker and hits hard when you need it too. Clean bass. Not deep deep base, but clean bass that punches. Good for people who listen to quality, balanced music. Teenagers need not buy. Not a sub to let your neighbors know you’re listening to P-Diddy. paired it with my B&W towers.

    The Mighty 10" That Could

I picked up the Martin Logan Dynamo 10 (DYN10SWD) a few weeks ago to continue completing our home theater setup. Prior to this purchase I had two Sonance 10" subwoofers that usually go on a great sale here on Best Buy and for the price I believe you will be hard pressed to find a better subwoofer however I was wanted a few things. - More power - Matching sub for the bed level speakers that would blend effortlessly Combined the Sonance subs were rated 575 watts (RMS) at 27hz for the low end although it always felt they dug slightly deeper than that...especially once the 2nd one was added. The single Dynamo 10 is rated at 500 watts (RMS) w/a slightly lower low end. Despite being a single sub replacing two it can hold its own well within our setup. Some of the key noticeable differences are: - Increased overall presence in the mid bass range...this is highly noticeable when listening to music. Instruments just seem to carry more weight and authority behind them that was not there before and seemingly blends with the Motion20 Towers. - While both the Sonance and Martin Logan are both sealed 10” subwoofers the Martin Logan is quick and precise. Maybe this is a combination of more power and a dedicated-on board DSP ensuring every note is delivered with precision. - Martin Logan Sub Control App is great and quick. It allows for changes on the fly that are near instant. No more going behind the subwoofer to make a slight adjust and returning to listening position to see the difference…just pull out your phone, open the app, and make your update. - ARC Room Correction for made a difference in the sound in our space. It couldn’t resolve a unique dead spot in our room, but it faired far better than xt32 could manage. Adding an additional unit would help resolve this because it was the same condition before when there was only a single Sonance subwoofer in the room Really looking forward to snagging the 2nd unit soon to help fill the void…but keep in mind that the results of this can vary depending on your room size shape. In the end the swap to the Dynamo 10 has opened my ears to what a great sub should sound like and for 10” subwoofer it is a powerhouse and full of features. Only Request: - ARC Room correction is a must but sadly it does not come with the MIC. This is highly recommended so if you purchase the sub I go ahead and order the ARC Calibration MIC also. The software thankfully is free and is compatible with MAC and PC. Via MAC you will only have to download the app and plug the mic into the USB port and the MAC will connect via Bluetooth to the subwoofer and allow for room correction parameters to be shared wirelessly so you are not tethered during the process…. Maybe Martin Logan or Best Buy can have a way for customer to bundle a MIC during the purchase.

    Affordable Audiophile Subwoofer

This premium audiophile subwoofer truly redefines what it means to experience bass in its most powerful, nuanced, and musical form. With a depth that reaches into the lowest frequencies, this subwoofer provides an enveloping sound that captures both the thunderous impact of cinematic moments and the smooth, detailed bass lines of complex musical compositions. Its power is immediately evident, as it brings an almost tangible intensity to any soundscape, yet its brilliance lies in its precision. Unlike many other subwoofers that may drown out details, the dynamo 10 subwoofer has been meticulously engineered to blend seamlessly with high-end speakers, adding depth without overpowering. It delivers a tight, controlled bass that retains every note’s character, so you feel the music rather than just hearing it. Beyond sheer volume and clarity, the musicality of this subwoofer shines through. It reveals subtle textures in bass guitar riffs, allows every pluck and thump to resonate with authenticity, and keeps the rhythm tight and responsive. The result is an immersive sound experience that feels more like a live performance than a playback. Built for those who demand the best, this subwoofer not only delivers breathtaking bass but does so with elegance and finesse, making it a cornerstone of any high-fidelity system. It’s not just powerful; it’s a revelation in the art of sound reproduction, bringing out the soul of the music as only a true audiophile-grade subwoofer can. It gives me chills how good it performs. Bravo Martin Logan!

The MartinLogan Dynamo 10 is wonderful. It captures the low end very well. The built in wireless feature makes it very easy to place in any spot in the room. MartinLogan went all out on the beautiful design of this subwoofer. If you are looking for a great sounding and great looking subwoofer, this is it.

I paired this sub with a set of XT-B100 satin white to make a 2.1 music room driven by a Marantz cinema 70 (which I repurposed from another room that I recently upgraded with a Cinema 50). I also added a Powerquest 505 to protect and power condition this system. This forward firing sealed sub provides the exact amount of low-end I like in this situation. The frequency response drops down to 23 h and handles 1000 watts. You can FEEL the low end. Although I don't typically watch TV/movies in this room, it is more than adequate with this setup to provide an excellent cinema performance. I am using an Audioquest Black Lab cable, but this sub also comes with the option to use the included wireless kit if you don't want to run a cable. Also, you may download the Martin Logan app and fine-tune the set up without moving from your typical listening position. This is very convenient. If it is later at night and may want to trim the boom, one may easily lower the gain without getting out of your seat and not change the output from the accompanying speakers. I am impressed.

Perfect color and sounds amazing I choose this speaker because of the presenters' enthusiasm for this topic. It was contagious and made the topic very fun. Excellent session! Creative, well-organized, well- researched and presented.

If you're looking for a compact yet powerful subwoofer with audiophile-grade performance, the Dynamo 10 is a solid choice. I recently added this to my Cinema 60 with KEF R meta speakers, the addition was very nice. I am still breaking it in, but this offered a significant upgrade over my old subwoofer, great for movies and music. My SPL is very solid with this addition. Thank you, Andreas, great help from Magnolia in San Antonio.
