I will admit, I am a speaker snob. I like clear, crisp sound and that deep thump when it's time. Having a good soundbar or speaker setup makes all the difference in your viewing experience. There is a big difference between those $299 and cheaper sound bars and nice one like this. Image that, you get what you pay for. I have been very pleased with it.

I wanted a Yamaha sound bar, but hated the price tag for their higher end sound bars. My friends have had Martin Logan speakers and they sound amazing; so I saw this refurbished speaker and took the chance. Good gamble! Sub woofer is not needed, but if you are a thumper... then pick one up.

Overall the sound bar has great sound. I would certainly buy it again. Cons: voices could be better - I’d like to hear a dedicated speaker, remote is weak and extremely slow changing volume

Not a big fan of soundbars but needed one for our family room due to decor limitations. This MartinLogan is easily the best quality soundbar I've heard without question. Combined with a small SVS sub, this makes for a pretty formidable small system. Dialogue is crisp, mid-range is well defined. I'd give this 5 stars if the surround processing was better. Yamaha and a few others do a much better job in this regard. Overall this is highly recommended for audio snobs who need to get a soundbar.

I bought this and the B&W Panorama 2. I much prefer the sound of this ML, but it often just shuts off, so I'll be returning it. I might take another chance and order another refurbished, but not sure I want to deal with another refurbished that obviously wasn't properly refurbished

The sound from this unit has no equal at Best Buy. A subwoofer is not necessary as with most of the competition. However, if you want to stream music from a streaming service or your phone, this is not the soundbar for you. I returned mine and bought the Motion X so I could stream.

I love the sound, i don't even need a sub with it.

I install AV for a living. This is one of the best sounding soundbars you can buy & the fact that you can connect any regular subwoofer to it makes it even better. It expensive is it’s only downside.

Please don't be fooled as I was. This refurbed piece is their older version of the Motion Soundbar. Even though the part numbers are the same, this version has the old cheap remote, does not have DTS Play-Fi technology so no streaming at all on the bar. Looked like new and the sound was good though I didn't spend a lot of time with it since no streaming capability. Very disappointed with Best Buy that they do not indicate that this is the version that has been discontinued.
