Not nearly as good as the French original. With watching though if you have seen the original, just to compare and contrast. If you haven't seen the original do your self a favor, watch it before watching this one.

When I heard Martyrs was getting remade I was like why? I was curious to check it out so when I finally got to. I have to say it is a watered down version of the original. It was well made and stuff but very unnessasry if you ask me.

I enjoyed this movie greatly. It left me with questions that I had to look up to understand, but I'm glad I did, because understanding helped me to enjoy it even more than I already did. It turns out the French film goes a little deeper than the American version, but I loved this nonetheless.

Odd, odd movie. If I had seen it before purchasing it I'm not sure if I'd have bought it. The story was different and had a lot of possibilities. The acting was a little weak. I did not know this was a remake, might be worth it to see the 2008 original.

This is a nice remake of a stellar foreign film...pales in comparison, but still entertaining.

This film puts down the original, it dumbs it down and she's away keen parts as well, Americanized I would say. not sure why they remade such an influential movie. I'm not saying it's the worst movie because it's far from it. Just not for me. Best Buy keep up your horror selection!! Only store near me who sells them

Wow. I'll just shat this is one of the worst horror movie of the decade. Check out the original French language film by Pascal Laguier.

Martyrs is just another watered-down remake of a far superior film. Stick with the original from France. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy remakes, there are a few out there that are just as good as the originals. Unfortunately Martyrs isn't one of them.
